NYU - Additional Statement

This is what I included in my "Additonal Information" section of the Common App for NYU, do you think this is what they're looking for? (After my little "personal statement" essay, I attached my Resume on the next page!) Please edit/give feedback on what you think!

For as long as I remember, I wanted to learn as much as possible about everything around me. When I was six, I was determined to become a chemist. At age eight that aspiration faded away after I resolved one day to become a news anchor on CNN. Over the course of my childhood, I also dreamt of becoming a journalist, a software engineer, an archeologist, a talk show host, a dermatologist, and even a spy for the C.I.A.

During my high school years, I came to understand myself and my passions better as I grew more aware of my skills and potential. I always had an inner drive to succeed and constantly searched for new ways to do or improve everything. By nature, I realized that I had an entrepreneurial spirit and decided that majoring in business would allow me to tap into my creative and innovative mind.

I admire the successful business leaders of our time like Bill Gates. He not only developed a company that revolutionized the modern way of life, but he also gave back to the community so that others may have the education they need to live out their dreams. Bill Gates is my role model and, like him, I want to provide a service to our world that benefits society, allowing me to take action that helps alleviate problems like lack of education. I am tech-savvy and dream of owning my own software corporation one day, such as Microsoft. I have already had a lot of exposure in the business field through internships, summer programs, and independent research on this topic.

I believe New York University will challenge and inspire me to take my goals further. College is a time to explore various interests and take advantage of the opportunities available. I am eager to pursue my interest in business in order to make a positive difference in society. I am confident that my passion and commitment for continuous learning will aid me in whatever path I choose to take in college and beyond.

whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I'm not sure, but I really don't think the additional portion should be this long, or that your application should even include your resume. On a lot of school websites, they mention that they know what they want, and they discourage sending extra info

and the essay I believe should go in the NYU supplement?

alright, that's kinda what I was thinking... but what should I include in my additional information then? Things I couldn't fit into the rest of my common app, like more AP EXams or activities n such?

For me, I used the additional info portion to explain stuff like why I had a non-academic teacher write an additional rec for me, and why I've had 2nd period free/ TA since sophomore year. I think you're just supposed to submit things that you feel the admissions will be "confused" at. I'm not 100% sure though, maybe you could ask a conselor?

Alright gotcha - do you think then that it might be a good idea to explain why I switched to a different high school after freshman year in order to do the IB Diploma and challenge myself n stuff like that?
