Indicate a person who has had a significant influence on you, and describe that influence.
Nothing has a stronger influence on a person than his or her family. There is a saying "What a mother sings to the cradle goes all the way down to the coffin." Human intellect at birth is rather like a tabula rasa, a pure potentiality. Babies accumulate empirical knowledge, learn through example. Their habits and characteristics are formed through what they regularly see and hear from their parents. Children are like sponges and they absorb what they see.
The most significant influence on me had and still have my parents. The information gets continuously soaked in. Right from the moment I was born I began absorbing information into my mind as I watched them go through their day . Everything that they have been doing became an example to me to learn and develop. My mom and dad showed me how to walk, how to hold a pencil correctly, how to eat from a spoon and even how to put on my shoes.
If children live with encouragement, they learn to be confident. The first time I got a bad mark I had been crying and crying and crying... My mom came to me and said, "You can do so much better". Every time when she was upset with my results she said that I can do it, can do it better. She made me confident in my abilities and self assured.
If children live with recognition, they learn to have a goal. I was at the eighth grade when I won school contest in English for the first time. I was not proud about it as it was just an essay contest but my dad...Oh, he bought me beautiful earrings and said, "Well done". And just like that a new goal was set, I decided to be the best one next year as well. As time passed my goal has been transformed and changed but I am still fascinated by English language and I dream to master it one day.
If children live with honesty and fairness, they learn what truth and justice are. My parents are open- minded, they accept me in case I have committed any mistakes. They listen to me when we grieved over such mistakes, they give me advices and try to help. The only thing is honesty. It is difficult to say people who love you and have some expectations that you failed or did something wrong. It is difficult because you do not want to upset or hurt them. It is difficult but absolutely necessary. "The bitter truth is better than a sweet lie.", they would say each time I was sitting upset and drinking my tea and saying that everything was all right. Indeed, honesty is the best policy.
My parents gave me life, knowledge and opportunity to develop. They are my pattern to follow but yet I have my own unique identity as we all do. I am lucky to be tough by brilliant tutors, to be surrounded by nice people and by not that nice as well. Each person we meet leaves trace on our character. As famous quote goes "Be around the people you want to be like, because you will be like the people you are around." We all influence each other.

I am lucky to be tough by brilliant tutors, to be surrounded by nice people and by not that nice as well that sentece sounds weird, it would be better to write ... and also by not that nice ones. Maybe even something completley different, if you have a better option
I think many lines are too general and you quote other people way too often. Even though your supposed describe the infulence a person had on you, the essay is still supposed to say more about you than about that person.
Was it intended that 3 passages start with If children live with ?
