i know its kinda sloppy:/
For two years neither lotions nor oils fix my dilemma--my hands are always hard. Soaps and chemicals have turned the texture of my palms to sandpaper. Why? I am a dishwasher at my school.
As students hurriedly leave the cafeteria, the stacks of dishes rises and so too does my pleasure. I put on my apron and start scrubbing, but for me its not just a job : it's a way to thank my mother and my school. After class and on weekends when i enter the kitchen i gain a new perspective through the eye of a staff member.
To me it doesn't matter if my hand are hard, it shows my hard work and commitment to my job.
