(PROMPT) Describe a place or environment where you are perfectly content. What do you do or experience there, and why is it meaningful to you?

I dearly adore waking at 4:50 in the morning, said no teen ever with the exception of me, [NAME]. I do this six times a week during the summer and three during the school year, which is rarely stressful, but rather fulfilling.

Alas, I was a conventional teen before my mother and her husband departed on the journey known as the 'entrepreneurial spirit'. The [BUSINESS] was their dream; for it is a franchise headquartered in [], but originated from the [] and now in []. February 12 was our opening date and we have 10 employees including myself. Only three of us are from the original batch so you could say it's been a hectic ride with several employee disputes, firings and even more quitting. Even as dramatic, loud and stressful as it gets on a multi-daily basis, I am often the most content in that one 2,300 square foot building.

Frankly, I cannot be that person who finds content and inner peace in their bed or even in a library with a low roar. How can someone be their happiest in a quiet room, wasting away at their 25,000 days on Earth? For myself, the shouting and constant challenges that arise are what make working at the [BUSINESS] the most blissful and content place that can be.

Unlike most teenagers, I don my uniform and beret and tiredly walk into the store at 5:25; for a minute more means I'm late to open. It's not very busy at that time, or ever is, which is dissatisfying. The content comes when the rush comes: 10 on Friday and Saturday and 12 on Sunday. Upon hearing the glorious and happy chime that sparks when the front or rear door is opened, my mind becomes calm and my ears at attention. My body goes into peace when being challenged. At a young age, I was taught to embrace challenges and to not let them faze you as an individual. Instead, find a way to overcome them and move on. I wholeheartedly followed that mentality however, I became over joyous when embarking on these challenges for they offered me a chance to improve my skill on a particular activity while learning more about myself and my limits, which the [BUSINESS] embodied brilliantly.

Challenges are everywhere. Schoolwork can be a challenge at times. Dealing with 20 customers and a line of barista orders with only one employee can also be a challenge when my cashiers decide to not show up. By embracing those challenges, I find inner peace in exploring the reaches of my abilities and thus I become content in knowing that I succeeded in my mission and am able to move onto another task that will test my dedication.

Rushes can fluster me, to be wholeheartedly honest. However, flusters do no good to an individual as can a hiccup. It's like hurdles. The first time you experience something, it can be overwhelming. But you have to get over it and move on. By the end of the day or week, you'll feel content doing that activity, which is what I feel when I open the [BUSINESS].

The Bakery closes its doors at 2pm sharp. At that point, it is a race to clean and get out of there. While I may love working there and while I am perfectly happy with the rushes, I want to leave as soon as possible as the crowd dies down around 1pm. To be able to leave, you have to dedicate yourself and push yourself to work quickly, efficiently and in unison with those around you. Being the last employee, I turn off the lights, arm the security system and lock the doors. The final 'click' of the doors is what gets to me. It's been a content day at the [BUSINESS]. Time for another.
