Question: What are your career goals and how do you expect your eduction at the Art Institute of Portland to help you attain them? In what ways will you participate and commit to your education to be successful?
Answer:
Ever since I was little I have always been interested in video games. As I grew older my profound love for video games has only grown, thus I decided: When I get older I will make video games for a living! I then became determined to make my own video game entirely by myself. People have made great games with as little of a group of three or six, so it can't be that hard can it? But time after time I came to the same dead end: How do I do that? I later discovered Blender, a 3D modeling program. Although complicated at first I eventually figured it out, for the most part. That's where the Art Institute of Portland comes in! Everything I know about 3D modeling and programming I taught myself. I feel if I could be properly taught with the right equipment, it could really improve on what I have already learned, and make my work look more professional then amateurish. The motivation I have to create video games is the same exiting motivation I would bring to class. Every morning I would wake up not just exited, but thrilled to go to class, and just like what every other student should do, I would bring the appropriate utensils to class. I feel that every day at school would be an exiting day, because making video games is my dream, and everything about it I find to be wonderful. Ever since I Discover the Portland Art Institute, I came to terms with that if anyone or anything can make my dreams come true, it's this school.
