Please briefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work experiences in the space below (150 words or fewer, 1000 character maximum).
1) I always had something to complain about - how I look, what people think of me, how tired from school I am and more, but volunteering at Special Olympics Michigan State Winter Games has completely changed my life priorities. For several days I was surrounded by people that don't have one of the main things in their life - health. Those sportsmen ended up being the most joyful, optimistic and kind people that I've ever met in my life. During that time I was so ashamed about my own thoughts and complaints. Now, when I look back to Special Olympics Games, I understand that it not only helped me to finish my exchange year successfully, but also showed me the importance of community serves. Once you start to volunteer, you'll understand that it is life changing experience.

2) I'm a sports fan, but sports have never been something that I enjoyed to do. Of course, I've never think that one day I'll be in a school cross-country team. Before starting practicing with a team I didn't realize that running can be not only sport, but an activity where you need to plan everything and think critically. Also, I figured out that the main point in sport is team spirit and only then the result. Those two months have been the hardest in my life and everyone thought that I'm not going to finish the season. Completing cross-country season and competing at regionals was one of the biggest accomplishments in my life, even if I was one of the slowest runners in the team. Cross-country taught me how to be patient, reliable and organized, and showed me the importance of team spirit.
I really need help with choosing one of them and with grammar as well. Thank you!
