I'm an O level student. Please check this essay for me.

'Young people are no longer interested in religion.' What is your view?

These days, sometimes the older generations complain that their children or grandchildren have no interest in practicing religion or going to church, mosque, temple etc. They are more engrossed in worldly matters. I agree with this.

There are many stresses and problems a person under 20 has to face everyday in today's world. For students who have not finished high school yet, it is their school work: they have to work hard to get into a university. There are also their friendships and relationships which they never stop binding up. For undergraduate students in university, as they are adults but still using their parents' money to study, they do their best to get good jobs in near future as well as do some part-time jobs to prevent themselves from asking for pocket money from their parents. Clearly, they get no time to practice religion in their extremely busy lives. They have to work hard for a comfortable future.

The world is full of rat race. The world is stressful with no air for people to breath. They have to accomplish many goals to succeed in their lives. Many of the young people are influenced by the excitement of what the world has to offer. Religion has certain boundaries that would restrict their worldly activities. Another reason for the youngsters not being so interested in religion is that their parents have been so busy earning money for the household throughout their lives that they could not guide their children on religious matters properly. On the other hand, the youngsters have been given all the freedom and means of entertainment by their parents that they either don't get time for religion or they are just unwilling to give up their entertainment for religion even for some time.

Today's youngsters find it 'old-fashioned' to practice religion. They see religion only as a belief and don't find it necessary to act upon its principles. Most of today's youth will have their fling and eventually grow up and realize that there is more to life than the world has to offer, Maybe in later life they will understand the importance of religion and start to practice it.

Awwwhh!! =S
I'm just sooo weak in creative writing! What should I do? I have exams in may!! =S
And by the way, the topic is about "young people" not being interested in religion, but you have crossed "youngsters" and written "teenagers" everywhere. Don't you think there is chance of my marks being deducted for it?

Wait, this is not a creative writing, this is persuasive/informative.
Creative is something that you make up, not real, fiction.
I guess you can use youngster but the word sound like slangs to me

Ahaan. Actually the thing is that our English teacher has been posted to some other city last year and our new teacher doesn't know English herself. We don't have a good English teacher, what a shame. =|

Well, thank you so much for checking the essay and telling me about my mistakes. =)
