IELTS TASK 1 - World Population by Region, 1900 and 2000
This pie chart illustrates the comparison of world inhabitants divided by each countinents between 1900 and 2000. Overall it can be seen that population increased sharply by 4.4 billion over the course of 100 years. It is also noticeable that Asia remain gave the highest percentage among all region.
According to the data, there was a decrease in the number of inhabitants where lived in Asia and Europe continents. Asia witnessed a slight decrease in the amount of population by 6%, this continent remain considerable higher than other region over than a half between 1900 and 2000. It was in stark contrast to Europe, it had only 14% in the 2000 or dropped solely by 11%. While, the rest area such as North America and others region remain stable at 5% and 3% respectively.
On the other hand, the figure of resident where life in Africa and Latin America shows increased over the 100 years. The differences are 6% for Africa region and 5% for Latin America countries. Furthermore, Middle East and North Africa emerge as a new regions which are ublished in 2000 survey, at exact 6% or 360 million people lived in that places.
