The topic: it can be quite difficult to learn a new language. what do you think are the most difficult aspects of learning a new language? Give reasons and examples to support your response.
the answer:
Learning a new language became a necessity in the modern life. It can be fun and exciting to be able to speak a language that is different from the mother language; however, with learning a new language there is a lot of difficulties that one has to overcome. Some of these difficulties are:
First of all, being grammatically correct. Not only it is hard to learn the grammar of a totally different language from your own, but it is also tough to be able to distinguish the grammatical differences between the two languages; i.e., grammatical phenomenon that exist in one language doesn't mean that it exist in another one. For instance, the grammatical rules in the Arabic language differ significantly from that of the English language. For one thing, Arabic has more than ten different pronouns, whereas, English has only few.
Not to mention, the Syntax, this means how the words are arranged to create a well-formed sentence. The formation of a phrase can differ greatly from one language to another; wrong order of words leads to incorrect or deviated sentences. Add to that a few grammatical errors, and the sentence won't make sense at all.
Moreover, there is the issue that the phonetics poses. Specifically, the one about having letters that differ notably from one alphabet to another; for example: the letter "P" exists in English, French, German, etc.., but it doesn't exist in Arabic, which might be an issue for an Arabic student to be able to pronounce the "P" easily.
As shown above, learning a new language is a bit tricky, because of the troublesome differences between all languages. However, once the person overcomes these problems he will master the new language in no time.
