The line graph illustrates distinctive sources of air pollutants in the UK between 1990 and 2005.
Overall, it is clear that there were significant decreased in the amount of pollutants in households and industrial. While transportation and the total of air pollutants remained relatively constant.
Looking at the line graph more closely, one can see that households source of air pollution decreased substaintially during the whole period, reaching from its highest point of 7 million tones to a low of approximately 3 million tones at the end of the timeframe. Although, this figure was slightly plummeted in 1999 and 2002, the amount of air pollutants went down noticeable in the next year. As for industrial, the figure dip minimally during the first period, then had a sharp decline to just under 3 million tones before falling steadily to a low of exactly 2 million tones over the span of 15 years. It is also noticeable that the pollutants from transportations remained almost stable for 1 million tones throughout the whole period, with slight increased in 1999 to 2005 and 1993 to 1999. Household represented the lowest pollution compared to three figures included in the graph which dropped insignificantly in 1996 (under 1 million tones) before increasing slightly to nearly 1 million tones. In 2005, pollutants from households decreased gradually until it reached its lowest point of nearly 0 million tones.
