Law is system of rules defined for the society to balance and maintain its economic , social , cultural and environmental growth. The law is made for a society not only on a country basis but also internationally.
Today we have wide spectrum of laws ranging from common law to administrative law, from property law to constitutional law, from personal law to trust laws.
Nevertheless, it should be noticed that man, from his prinstine age had been formulating the ethical and legal way of leading the normal life. It was from his experiences and evidences that he went on refining the the way life should be lead. In this course of refinement, he formulated laws and made it compulsory for the society to abide by it. The nature of law was made more vivid
and comprehensible learning from the places, events and circumstances.
The great depression of 1929 brought into existence, the numerous finance laws which made sure that such disastrous economic recession would not hit the society to a extent it did in 1929. It regulated many banking policies and financial
decisions which curbed the aggresssive ambition of money-makers and made it possible for a middle class man to achieve economic growth. The finance laws underwent changes because of the circumstances.
To state another example, the environmental laws are now-a-days on hot-lists of discussions. The Copenhagen summit and other internationally held conferences are in constant strive to formulate a better environmental laws to prevent the
detrimental effects of the indusrtial growth and its concomitant pollution. The Kyoto protocol was designed in 1990 ,for curbing the pollution. However , today when we have reached the acme of all types of pollution, Kyoto protocol
requires refinement in its definition so that more intensive regulations are followed by the nations. The environmental laws need to change for the times are changing.It has been evident from the history and current affairs that the law system requires refinement based on events, circumstances, places and times. It cant be rigid to make society follow which was designed for it decades back.
Nevertheless, law should also not be too fragile for any culprit to break it and escape. Every accused person has a reason for his crime. But law should be firm enough to hold its ground and give a proper reprimand to the guilty man.
