One's fate is never sealed

Here is my take:
"For one thing, I believe that fate is never sealed - it can change, shift from one form to another, and whoever tries for the best will be blessed. And my little tale can say the same because, from a single day, the trajectory of my life turned a completely different way.

If I remember correctly, I wasn't anything too special. Besides my early childhood being able to read at the age of 2, I was just your average Asian student. But then, I found out about my little quirk in English at age 9. It was something that set me unique from others - not many at that time can be able to communicate with a native, talking about personal life almost every single day!

In 5th grade, I achieved my proudest achievement: Obtaining the Silver Medal on the Internet Olympiads of English! It certainly was the highest reward I obtained in my early days. But after that, my academic achievements soon slowed down. When I almost hit rock bottom, I remember my past, and that I need to try harder to get back on track again.

I realized that, when I tried hard enough, I could break the cycle, away from being the unsuspecting victim of normality. Thanks to that, I was able to succeed. I was able to find my talents and interests. And even if I didn't see any glimpse of hope left, there would be people backing me up, leading me to the door to success. Even if darkness is in the skies, somewhere, there shall be light guiding us to safety.

No one was ever sure if something would happen or not. People may dwell in shame and regret, regret that they didn't do something, regret that they could've done something better. But no matter what, you'll have to move on, to change for the better. Only our actions can define our destiny."

Your response is the exact opposite of what the writing instruction is about. You are being asked to write about an academic passion that has continued to grow over time. Not a skill you had a child, lost interest in, then never went back to developing. Your explanation is not acceptable as a response. It is not related to the task provided. Perhaps you needed more explanation regarding how to develop the response? For someone who claims to have the ability to speak to a native speaker everyday, this presentation belies that claim. You have just proven that you do not have the English comprehension skills of a high schooler at this point. You should be writing about an academic interest that you had a child and continue to pursue at this point. Something like a love of math or sciences. Kind of like Elon Musk and his love for all things Science.
