Progress is directly proportional to hard work and the amount of sacrifice one makes . One cannot succeed in a difficult endeavor without toiling for months or years.

The story of tennis player Andre Agassi exemplifies this. As a youngster, he would play tennis for hours at a stretch, hoping to better his abilities with every stroke he played. His peers would go out and socialise and have fun, and he would feel left out at times as he had no time to be a regular teenager. But he remained focused and committed to his dream of becoming a tennis champion for years;his perseverance eventually paid off as he won the Wimbledon open and became world number 1. His sacrifices were truly worth it.

Another astounding story is that of students in Bihar who got admitted into the Indian Institutes of Technology. The children of labourers and farmers, they longed for a better future. Trained by an IIT graduate, they would study for up to 16 hours a day, their motto being ' Live IIT, Breathe IIT, and sleep IIT' ,and put aside all distractions in order to get into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology, studying for 4 years at a stretch. Eventually they did get into the IITs by acing the entrance examination;their perseverance helped them to escape poverty and become successful

To sum it up, if we make sacrifices and toil hard, we will definitely progress in our endeavors
