In 1974, mr.jaime became a teacher in Garfield high school to teach mathematic, almost all of his students came from poor area in Los angeles, California. Lots of them had serious problems in illegal drugs, gengs and violence.
Jaime started an advanced math program with a small group of students, 18 of his students took the advanced placement test in calculus, they all passed.
At the present time, Jaime received lots of teaching award from the government. Then he retired from teaching in 1988, and died on march 30,2010
