Here is the promt:
Choose an issue of importance to you - the issue could be personal, school related, local, political, or international in scope - and write an essay in which you explain the significance of that issue to yourself, your family, your community, or your generation.
I don't know what I should write about and I need your advice...
I am a math major and I want to earn a bachelor's degree so I can teach remedial math. I was told that I should write about developmental math education for this essay, but I am having a hard time getting excited about any particular "issue" pertaining to developmental math.
Should I take that advice anyway? Is that what the admissions people want to see? Or should I write about something that is significant to me, even if it has nothing to do with development education?
Thank you :)
