Argumentative Essay that requires five outside sources - Question

I have been assigned an argumentative essay that requires five outside sources. I understand that it would be best if these sources supported my side of the argument, but most of what I am finding does not, as I am against it (giving teens birth control w/out parental consent). Would it be acceptable to quote something someone said who supports it, and argue why I feel their statement/view is wrong? Or would it be best if I found sources that have the same views/opinions as me.

Greetings!

I think you will need to find at least a couple of sources that support your side of the argument. Certainly, mentioning the opposition viewpoint and giving your reasons why you feel it is wrong is also good. But try to find some sources on your side as well. Check out religious organizations, anti-abortion groups, and other conservative-leaning groups. I know there are some websites that argue against emergency birth control in hospital ERs...perhaps they also touch on the parental consent issue.

I hope this helps!

Thanks,
