Hello, I am Rabia from Indonesia, this is my leadership essay. I think that there is some of errors with this essay. Can you help me to proofread the grammar? Thank you

I lived in one of cities in Sumatra for seventeen years old. There was no a non government organization (NGO) or a youth community in my city. I never had a neighbour and spent time with my friends at city park. Everyday, after school, I just read daddy's newspaper and book or watched television in my . My mom asked me to stay at home, did not go to mall, cafe or book store. Because home was the best place for me. But, everything became different when I wanted to enroll my self in a campus which was so far from my home. At the age of 18, I tried to choose. I got rid of the habit of being stolid as when I was at home.

Stayed at Jakarta for almost three years made me understood. I could see all those social problems not only through daddy's newspapers and books. I saw it immediately. Also, I met up with friends from all over Indonesia and even all over the world in my campus. It made me be talkative. I involved myself in campus programs, attended seminars and workshops. Also, joined with several organizations and committees. Until one day, a friend asked to me, "What were you looking for by those activities?". I could not answer it. I just thought that I need a lot of friends. I wanted to jolly my self through those activities. I did not know what else can be searched and finally by the question, I was constantly thinking about the suitable answer.

Now I got the answer, quoting the words from a famous medical researcher, Kathryn Anastos "Our responsibility as priveleged human being is to pay back for the opportunities we've received." I felt that I had a lot of debts, especially to children from needy families. Because what they feel right now is not comparable to what I felt when I was a child. I enjoyed life, mom asked me to get a higher education, father bought many books, and I went to the tourist spots with my cousins or friends. Whereas, they had to work for family needs, they did not have spare time to play with friends, could not afford to buy the book and did not have time to go to school. Their ironic life made me realized that I had to make something for their better life. I decided to create a social community for children, especially to help and increase their education capability. My seven friends and I begin to help children in Tambora, West Jakarta. We taught English, Math and Art with a different method, not only in the class but also on the school field. We made the lessons were fun. In addition, I also did other social projects for elementary school children such as taught in MI Annatul Fa'lah Pancoran, South Jakarta, taught children around my boarding house, joined the Youth Exchange Program America to teach english with children and helped to educate people about HIV/AIDS with campaign.

The result of those social projects made me got Youth Educator Awards at the end of 2012, my paper was chosen as the best on the selection of the outstanding students of the Faculty of Humanities, University of Indonesia in 2013 and I became a junior research for one of well known companies in Indonesia. I believes that every human being can make a change for their surroundings. Do your social project with love and you can get the happiness by your efforts. Actually, people who have made a change, never loss their knowledge. Instead, people will be knowledgeable.

I lived in one of the cities in Sumatra for seventeen years old.

.... I guess you live there for seventeen years.

There was no a non government organization (NGO) or a youth community in my city.

There wasn't any non government organization or a youth community in my city ... what's the importance of having a NGO in your town? You need to tell the reader about that? It sounds confusing otherwise :(

I never had a neighbours and never spent time playing with my friends at city park.

Everyday, after school, I just read daddy's newspaper and book or watched television in my . My mom asked me to stay at home. She did not let me go to mall, cafe or book store. Becausesaying that home was the best place for me. But, everything became different when I wanted to enroll my self in a campus which was so far from my home. At the age of 18, I tried to choose.

I got rid of the habit of being stolid as when I was at home.

I began to be independent , more sociable and most importantly I started getting connected with the outer world.
