The Outsiders essay, how to start it?
hey
i have to do an essay about this quote "Sixteen years in the street and you can learn alot. But all the wrong things you want to learn."
how can i start it?
Ah, I have not read the book, so can you tell me, in your own words, what this meant?
Really, it is your job to come up with a few ideas, and then we will help. Otherwise, we will be doing the work for you. Take a whack at it, and then I will try to help. BTW "a lot" is 2 words.
So, what are the "wrong things"?
Look at verse 53 from the Tao Te Ching:
Keeping to the main road is easy,
But people love to be sidetracked.

Don't forget, as you craft your first draft, to include properly cited quotations to back your points. In fact, you might start by creating a quote outline, in which you just list the relevant quotations you plan to use in your essay in the order you plan to introduce them. This can be a good way to get started if you are having trouble coming up with ideas.
