2 short story to teach - i want answer in 2000 words.

Q1. if you have given 2 short story to teach, which one of them you will choose and why?the answer should be as a response paper.

1- " the tell-tale heart(by Edgar Allan Poe) (the eye)
2- " the story of an hour" a wife has a startling reaction to the news of her husband's death.

I am guessing those are stories that you have to read in other to answer the question, all you have to do is respond to the stories. Which would you assign if you had to choose one right now. Have you read them? There are translations available of each if you have a language barrier.

Also, it depends on the group of students you are teaching. Maybe one story would be better for them than the other.

How do I start a Short Story Summary? put into my own words

I am stuck writing a summary and I have to put into my own words.

Read the story and make little side notes on parts of the story that stand out to you, Once you can understand the story in your own view, it become easy to summarize the story ( summarizing is the big picture or main points, not the little details). Putting in your own words basically just means being able retell the story in a way that makes sense to you, something that will help you learn and remember the story for later.
