What to talk about (what I could learn from my classmate) UT admissions essay

Well I did essay A and that went quite easy but this one (essay E) is for some reason really tough for me. Heres the prompt:

Many students expand their view of the world during their time in college. Such growth often results from encounters between students who have lived different cultural, economic, or academic experiences. With your future growth in mind, describe a potential classmate that you believe you could learn from either within or outside a formal classroom environment.

I was thinking about talking about international students or just a general student that characterizes an attribute I lack. I just can't seem to find any points to talk about. This isn't a plea for someone to write my paper. I just need a nudge in the right direction to get the process in motion

Greetings!

These really are difficult essays to write, because they are so broad. I would, however, suggest a different approach than the ones you are considering, simply because they are rather typical and you want to find a way to stand out.

How about describing an exceptionally antagonistic or even hostile classmate? One whom you have to struggle to understand and, ultimately, work with (or even live with)? This way, you could demonstrate your people skills, your diplomacy skills, your team-building skills, your empathy skills, whatever skills are most relevant to your chosen profession.

This is just a thought -- but I would definitely try for something to make you stand out.

Thank you,

Thank you, that is an excellent idea. Also, I have already written my first essay and I would be greatful if you could look at it for me. English has never been a strong subject with me so any advice I could get from you would be very helpful. Id prefer to keep it off the forums so if you have an e-mail address I could send it to let me know.

Thanks,

Greetings!

We would be happy to look over your essay! However, we do need to keep all replies posted to this forum; that is, we cannot provide you with an email address for private correspondence. I understand your desire to keep this off the forums, but I am afraid that due to the nature of this particular service, we cannot do so.

Thank you, and please do send the essay draft if you wish!

Sincerely,

Miriam, EssayForum.com
