Hello,
I am new to this forum and I need help on writing an essay, so the topic is:
what I would tell America's Founding Fathers... 300-400 words...I am open to any suggestions.
Thanks
Hmm. the patriot's pen essay contest. 'It's a great contest, 10,000 dollar for national winner. You can write about the contributions that the founders made to our society, like the Declaration and every man is created equal...
Are you also writing for that contest??
Well first you would have to determine hwo the founding fathers actually were, and then you could talk about how ten thousand people that gathered in the streets of Philadelphia threatening to drag Washington out of his house and effect a Revolution, but an outbreak of yellow fever dispersed the mob and saved the national government. ahah. Anything,
Do you think they would be upset at the complacency of US citizens today? Would they think us advanced, yet still ignorant of important principles such as individual liberty and the proper role of government? Would they even recognize the government as anything similar to the one they fought and died for?

Exactly. This is what I suggested Carlos Zhu previously. I think you can make your discussion more attractive, if take a critical look at the issue. As Kaylie said, compare what founding father expected and what the authorities and government are doing now. Consider various aspects such as poverty, freedom, employment, wars, etc.
Hope this helps
Good luck

Thank you so much.. I will take all of this into consideration..
you can mention what good contributions they have brought to America ,or the things they
have made the country achieve that bring change to the ordinary society in America;as well
you should focus on events they made a foundation for in that country and,
how you remember them in the present days that make you proud to be American.
Thank you so much, I'm trying to to organize my ideas right now, and this will help for sure.

Your essay is very good, and I like how you talk about someone that is not as well known like Chen Guangcheng, and not someone like Martin Luther king Jr. or Rosa Parks, are you also writing for that competition?/
HI Aspiringwriter
You can study by sample essay of other student .I think ,it is a good sample and help us to writing such as grammar, sentence and wording.
Right now , I'am studying writing step by step too.
That's a good idea, thank you!

Yes I am participating in the contest. Sorry for replying too late, I was on vacation. But yes, it is a pretty difficult contest to win. Which post are you going for? I am in MD.
Wait, what is MD?? Maryland?? And yes, I agree with you, it is hard to win, but I tried last year and I was close to go to state, I got third... good luck though.. I really like your essay so I think that you have a good chance of winning.
thank you. But do you think I have a good chance of going to state level? this is my first year in this contest. Thanks for your encouragement :D

To begin with , you will thank them for making such a wonderful revolutionary documents that continue to inspire the world. Facts: How they made this document, starting from Declaration of Independence, follow it with rights it gave to people and how they created three institutions such as Congress, Executive and Judiciary and balanced the three organs. You should also ask them how they collected ideas to make this rule book. Finally, ask them whether they are happy with the current political situation. Conclude with what more can be done.
