PLz help me on dis one.
Very important thing that i need to learn for da exams...
Thank you for ur help
Much appreciated
Good morning.
A monologue is a one-sided conversation one has with oneself. "Mono" means "one," so there is only one speaker during the monologue. It is usually used in theater or when speaking because it is dialogue.
What topic are you going to speak about?

I need to write it on a character from Romeo and Juliet.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
OK, which one are you thinking about?
Depending on the character, you can talk about character traits and use the text to exemplify those specific traits. For instance, is Juliet foolish for not making sure Romeo was dead before taking the poison herself? Is the feud between the two families justified because of their history?
Which character do you find most interesting?

Sorz 4 da late reply
Um I was thinking about either Romeo or Friar.
Have you got any suggestions other than then?
By the way im a boy.
Cheers~
Either one of those characters would work fine. What is it about them that makes them stand out to you? Do you identify with one more than the other? Is there a decision or an action that one of them takes that stands out to you?

Well Romeo kills himself for love which is a brave act.
The Friar is smart so that appealed to me as well
Sory for the late reply ^^
OK, so what do you want to expand upon? Do you want to use both, or just one?
Use the text to pull specific word for word examples of your thoughts about these characters. This will support your assertions and help clarify your opinions.

Um i was thinking of Romeo at the scene just before he dies
Can u give me some examples of how to start it?
Its my first time writing a monologue and its very important TT_TT
Thanks!
Good morning.
The beginning of a monologue is no different than any other piece of writing; it needs to begin with an introduction related to what you are going to talk about later on.
I suggest starting in the middle and leaving the introduction part for last. After all, how can you write an intro describing something that you haven't written yet?
Begin to work instead by brainstorming what you want to talk about. Where is the first instance in this text where Romeo begins to think about committing suicide for love. Pull lines from the text that describe this and you can analyze and interpret them a section at a time. You can describe what you think he is thinking/feeling which is driving him to take such drastic action, or you can take a more "light-hearted" approach, describing a "what-if" scenario, as in what would happen if Romeo knew the truth of the situation? Would his "bravery" change?
I hope this helps you get started.

Good afternoon.
Aside from the tips posted, make sure that it is something that you can "pull off"; watch out for long, rambling pieces or ones where the audience may get bored. If this is unavoidable, think about what kind of movement or physical actions you can add to the speech to keep your audience's attention.

Elvis monologue that goes for 3 minutes!
hi, i need to write an elvis monologue that goes for 3 minutes and that has 2 major events of his life in it. PLEASE HELP!
Oh, I think you could make this funny... you could include a few little phrases he is famous for saying. You can find a lot of ideas brainyquote/quotes/authors/e/elvis_presley.html
Now, how do you make a monologue? You should look at an example taught in class. Have you looked at Shakespearean monologues? Probably...
So under what circumstances might Elvis be doing a monologue? Maybe he is stressed out about some event in his life. So he is talking to himself.

I think you should view the movie and to understand some dialog between them.
