Art, animals, and helping others have provided me with some of the most joy I've felt in my life. Confucius once said, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." I saw a poster that added onto this quote by Confucius, "If you teach what you love, then neither will your students." So, I am on a journey to reach my goal of getting a Master in Art Education, so that my career can be something fulfilling for me and those being taught.

Instead, I graduated from _____ College in _____ with a Bachelor's in Special and General Education with a Minor in Art. Through the experiences in my past studies, my goal is to get a Master of Art in Education at _____ University. As a hard working individual, who is educated in teaching both Special and General education children, has a passion and talent in many art forms and helping others, I believe I deserve the opportunity to become an _____ Art Education Graduate student.

I am pursing the goal to get a Master of Art in Education, because of many reasons. The multiple benefits in which everyone can gain from, drives me to want to be an art educator. A common occurrence in my undergraduate studies was that children benefited from hands-on activity, such as art, as a part of their education and development. I learned about the benefits of art in education while studying topics such as the development of children, disabilities, philosophers of education, and teaching methods. The different benefits of the integration of art into education were researched and discovered in my Thesis during my undergraduate studies, as well. The benefits of art in education were also experienced first hand, through art integration in classrooms I've taught, learned in myself, and student taught in. I have discovered the excitement, concentration, development in creativity, and learning progression. In art, computer, general, and special education classes that I have substitute and student taught in, children enjoyed the lessons that included art. Personally, I have learned and benefited myself from the classes integrated with art, the five high school art classes and the many taken during my undergraduate studies. The enthusiasm and learning from art, drives me to become an art educator.

The enthusiasm and learning in the art program at _____ University, drives me to want to study to become an art educator there. While discovering the Art Education Master's program at _____, I found that our values in education were similar. _____ Early Learning Center on campus of _____, holds multi-sensory learning to a high regard. _____, the Assistant Director, exuberantly and proudly explained the philosophy of education and program and showed the facility to me. I agree with the philosophy of education, because instead of just learning visually or audibly, incorporating more senses into the learning will help enable the brain to remember the ways in which the activity was learned tactically and kinetically, as well as orally and visually. Through _____'s Art Education Graduate curriculum, studios, and professors, described and shown by the director of the graduate Art Education program, _____, I appreciate and hope to be a part of the common love for art and education. The classes in the curriculum truly seem very intriguing, especially the Exploring the Arts Series classes. I think it is great to have the opportunity to take classes in your weaknesses to develop them or to further explore an art. Also, since I may possibly further my education after my Master's to become a Waldorf Educator, The Waldorf Method class is one that I would mostly look forward to taking, if I became a student at _____. I also value the dual emphasis on studio practice and developing contemporary teaching approaches, because I believe it is imperative to not only be knowledgeable in a variation of ways to create art, but also to be able to effectively teach how to create art. For these reasons, _____ University would be a great college to go to.

A Master of Art in Education from _____ University is a goal that I would like to achieve, in order to help others learn through the many benefits of art. Being able to give others that opportunity also, would be an opportunity of a lifetime.

Art, animals and helping others have always been the most joyful things in my life.

Art, animals, and helping others have provided me with some of the most joy I've felt in my life. Confucius once said, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." Well, I find the first sentence and the rest in this introductory para are not really fitting well with each other. I feel you need to set up a better connection with the "Art, animals, helping others" or the Confucius quote.
