You should also write about the university that u want to apply for, and the research area that you are going to work on. You should write why u chose this university and how you became familiar with this place. There are lots of websites that u can get great hints for writing a good SOP, just google the expression "statement of purpose".RegardsAhmad

By reading them you can have an idea how to write. Follow what Ahmad has suggested too :)Think of the process as a critical analysis, as if you were planning a journey. 1. Where are you now? 2. Where do you want to go? 3. Why do you want to go? 4. What tools do you currently pose that will help you successfully get from point A to Point B?
