My name is Evan Svendsen, and I intend to achieve my master's degree in computer software design at the University of Lethbridge. I will then apply to the University of California in hopes to earn a P.H.D. of Computer Science. I plan to specialize in operating systems, and would love to become aquainted with the complex programming procedures of quantum computers. My eventual goal is to be the CEO of my own successful computer company, but will most likely work for some other companies first to gain experience and industry connections. I have excellent leadership skills, and have had the opportunities to demonstrate such skills through the Air Cadet movement that I have been involved with for the past 5 years. I have earned both my gliders and full private pilot's licence over the course of the last year. I plan to apply for the international exchange this year. I am hardworking and dedicated to everything I do, and I persist with difficulty without giving up or giving in. I have expressed my love and passion for computers throughout my life and in everything I do. Creating several websites over the years, programming, and lately I have been the developer of 3 successfully produced mobile games that can be found in the app store. I am the top of my class in math and science, and have achieved honour roll every year. I partake in the science fair every year and have won gold on both the local and provincial levels. I also plan on taking a minor in theoretical physics at the University of Lethbridge as I have a deep love of the unknown areas of physics. I am a part of my high school band the symphonic woodwinds, as well as the jazz band. We are one of the top 6 bands in all of Canada. Thank You for reading my letter.
