srhian 1 / 1 Jan 4, 2011 #1Hello.I wanted to ask you guys if it would be proper to explain the life hiccups that i have had in my pursuit to applying to veterinary school. I started my post-bac 8 years ago, and have had a few life tragedies that have gotten in the way. Shall i explain these? These would also help explain some of the not so stellar grades that I had in my undergraduate career that initially led me to choose another path. Years later, I decided that I did in fact want to go in to medicine. I am not sure how to encompass a career change along with family turbulences, and life obstacles?I also have started writing my personal statement, and would love for someone to go over it and make suggestions or constructive criticism. I am not sure if my transitions are flowing smoothly, make sense, or if they are just all over the place.Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated.s

OP srhian 1 / 1 Jan 4, 2011 #3No, more or less asking if writing about life experiences that explain my stumbly path towards graduate school is a normal or acceptable topic to write about.
