The XX century can be calls, peak of communism. In this century ideology of Marks and Engels, with Lenin's contribution mostly spread into societies. Afterward World War II, Germany was divided to West and East Germany. Capitalism which predominated in West Germany, and communism in East. The film by Wolfgang Becker "Good Bye Lenin" describes the final stage of communism, and penetration of capitalism into East Germany. Film provides the watchers about the lifestyle of two different systems. Which customs had communism and what bring capitalism to East Germans.
The leading part in this film plays Christeane who was a great supporter of communism, and member of communist party. She cannot imagine her life without communism. She was member of labor union movement and brought up his children with communist customs. For many people like Cristeane who lived with communist values the crossing from communism to capitalism was very painful. During watching the film, I remembered my childhood. I caught a likeness between Cristeane and my mother, between East German family and Tajik one, which once upon a time lived in communist society. I remember when my mother always talked to me about communism with nostalgic feelings. My mother also was member of communistic party and I remember when she paid a party subscription, and in Lenin's birthday put flowers in his monument. For Cristiane and many people around the world, who was supporters of communism, it was more than politic party, it was like religion, when you had strong belief of something, and never wish to lose it. This people are not used to live with another customs, as in the film (appearing new TV shows without censorship, Coca Cola poster at walls, opening of supermarkets and night clubs etc). In the end of the film Cristiane was aware about unification of two Germany, and shocked that how her son worried about her, and how he had striven in order that she do not know about collapsing of communism. After three days of unification Germany Cristiane died.
