Writing Feedback / Tourism has developed remarkably over the last five decades [3]

Tourism has increased so much over the last 50 years that it is having a mainly negative impact on local inhabitants and the environment. However, others claim that it is good for the economy.

Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of tourism and give your own opinion.

It is true that tourism has developed remarkably over the last five decades, having bad influences on local residents and the environment. Nevertheless, others suppose that it is beneficial for national commerce. This essay will discuss both positive and negative effects.

On the one hand, tourism has been contributing significantly to the state budget, especially for the countries having many tourist attractions. In particular, the government and entrepreneurs launch campaigns and advertisements in order to attract as many visitors as possible. When they take tours, they would pay for many things such as tickets, souvenirs, entertainment, accommodation, and services. As a result, the money would be used for maintenance, or developing better local infrastructure. Furthermore, the life of local people would be improved substantially, with more jobs, such as tour guides, and souvenir sellers. It makes their living standards better.

On the other hand, I would argue that there are some drawbacks of the "smoke-free" industry. Tourism could bring about some bad habits, such as smoking, alcoholism, gambles, or drugs. Dangerously, they are effortless to penetrate the daily life of residents, leading to the increase of crimes. Moreover, the features of local culture would be wiped out by modern lifestyles. In addition, tourism has been destroying the environment nearby. In reality, there are many cases of ruining the famous tourist attractions by bad behaviors of visitors, such as drawing on the wall, or throwing garbage. Therefore, the number of visitors reduces gradually because they find it offensive to see the landscapes polluted.

In conclusion, Tourism is a potential industry if the government and people are able to take advantage of it. However, its downsides would be dangerous for local inhabitants and the environment.

Writing Feedback / Respect for educators and criticism for their teaching methods [3]

@Ta Nhi
I think you should talk more specifically about the meaning of "two-way communication". The best method is paraphrase this term into the more simple meaning. Moreover, you should increase your lexical resources. Such as, replacing "important" to "crucial, essential, or vital"

Writing Feedback / Are advertisement directed children?? (IELTS task 2) [4]

@thaoly2007
Your paraphrasing in the introduction part is good, but there is not your opinion. That is a crucial point of this essay. That leads to your essay did not come to a specific conclusion. When you follow an idea, you had better write the paragraph supporting the idea longer than others.

Thanks for reading.

Writing Feedback / Overpopulation is the world's most serious environmental problem. [2]

Overpopulation is the world's most serious environmental problem.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

In recent years, environmental issues have become a hot debate in the media. Most people claim that overcrowding is the most dramatic problem for the environment. However, I do not agree with that opinion, and there are other factors causing the reduction of environmental quality.

First and foremost, although overpopulation has a significant impact on the environment, it is not considered as the most dangerous, and cureless factor. This phenomenon happens in some of the largest cities in the world, such as New York City, Tokyo, and Singapore. However, the governments have got reasonable policies to deal with it, including infrastructure, transportation and accommodation. As a result, these solutions lead to the decline of traffic congestion, homelessness and sanitation. In addition, there is a trend of immigration to rural areas of developed countries due to the potential benefits of them, especially agriculture.

Secondly, in reality, there are other factors of environmental degradation. Most of all, industrialization leads to the rise of vehicles and factories, and the gas emission contaminates the air quality. On the other hand, the increase in both quantities and strength of natural disasters is considered as a main environmental issue. For example, the tsunami and earthquake destroyed Fukushima, Japan in 2011. They also made the radioactive substances leaked into the river and air, causing the most dreadful environmental disaster in Japanese history.

In conclusion, it is true that overpopulation is a serious environmental issue, however, it is not the most. As far as I know, there are other factors which should be concerned, such as industrialization and natural disasters.
