Undergraduate / Standford roommate essay! I want to be done today so let me know what you think. [4]
Hey roomie!
Well, we are about to embark on a journey that will change our lives in unexpected ways and I am so ready to break free and finally experience college! So before we make that leap, you should probably know a few things about me. First off, I was born in Stockholm, Sweden and I am half Swedish (thanks to my dad). This means I will show my Swedish pride and heritage through my abundant amount of Swedish chocolate, crazy socks, and my love for IKEA and Swedish meatballs...yum :). Another big part of my life is sailing. Yup, that's right. I'm a sailor, and I won't let you forget it! Every summer I competitively sail throughout the Midwest and sometimes, if I'm lucky, in warmer places like New Jersey! Yes, I did, in fact, sail off the Jersey Shore. My favorite band of all time is The Beatles, but that doesn't mean I wont randomly belt out some Adele or Katy Perry (their songs are just so catchy!). I've been brainwashed by my mother into making my bed every morning and keeping my room pretty clean, but due to my cousins' rooms, where I can hardly see the floor, I'm cool if you're messy. There is one thing about me that sadly, and ultimately will cease to change...maybe irrevocably. I am always late. From changing my watch to 3 minutes ahead to waking up earlier, I can never seem to promptly be on time. Maybe you'll be able to solve my tardiness or learn to love this quirk! I am a very bubbly, adventurous person but I am also a great listener and can be quiet and down to earth. I love to meet new people and experience new things; I was in a variety of clubs and sports in high school that gave me different perspectives on peers, my school, and also life. I plan to join some clubs and hopefully join the sailing team upon entering Stanford. Now that you've been loaded with some information about me I'd just like to say I am so excited to begin my Stanford adventure with you! I'm sure we will have a lot of fun together in the upcoming school year :)
See you soon!
