Undergraduate / Trouble when speaking about experience, UC Transfer Question Prompt [3]

What is your intended major? Discuss how your interest in the subject developed and describe any experience you have had in the field - such as volunteer work, internships and employment, participation in student organizations and activities - and what you have gained from your involvement.

This is the prompt I am writing about, but I am at a loss for words when it comes to speaking about experience I have had in the field except for the classes I have taken pertaining to the field. It is safe to speak about an internship or volunteer work that I will be doing in the future, like in a month after submission of my application and essays?

Undergraduate / do you think it is okay to include GPA information on UC essays?? [4]

Hello!

I definitely think you should state that somewhere in your essay, it illustrates that you are able to overcome and rise up to the occasion. It shows an important and significant characteristic. I think maybe you should state it in a less direct way, maybe something like:

"In less than 4 months, I went from being a sluggish student with inadequate grades, to a full-time student athlete with an exceptional GPA of a 4.0."

Its up to you! Good Luck!

Undergraduate / UC prompt 1. Electrical Engineering. [4]

Hello! Thanks for the comment on my question!

Your essay is good and provides a lot of detailed information, I think one way to make a little more interesting would be to change your first sentence in the first paragraph to the last sentence of the first paragraph.

Keep the second sentence as the intro sentence, it makes it more interesting. There are a few parts where you do not have to be too detailed, like when you explain certain things about the course, just make it a little more brief.

And make sure you connect it to you and what you gained from your experiences.

Good Luck on your essay!
