I'm wondering if it is okay to put the following on my essay:
"In less then 4 months I went from being sluggish student with a 2.8 GPA to a full time student-athlete with a 4.0 GPA."

please reply ASAP. Thanks.

Hello!

I definitely think you should state that somewhere in your essay, it illustrates that you are able to overcome and rise up to the occasion. It shows an important and significant characteristic. I think maybe you should state it in a less direct way, maybe something like:

"In less than 4 months, I went from being a sluggish student with inadequate grades, to a full-time student athlete with an exceptional GPA of a 4.0."

Its up to you! Good Luck!

Hi!

It seems like it should be fine, since you're not making excuses for your grades or anything, but having the entire essay for some context would be a little more helpful.

Yes, I agree that it is good to discuss the GPA, as long as you are sticking to the prompt for the essay.

Congratulations for rising to the occasion and lifting the GPA while playing sports.

:)
