Writing Feedback / IELTS - Worldwide rubbish problem; Causes and Measures [3]

Topic: It is generally agreed that the amount of rubbish created by humans today is a worldwide problem. What do you think are the main causes of this situation? What measures can be uses to tackle the problem?

Nowadays, there had not been much of news, articles, and information about on how every individual can help preserve the planet Earth's natural state form. As a result, majority of our world's population are not aware of as little as a candy wrapper can bring up a rise of a global issue we face today. Daily garbage accumulates in one household, in every house of your community, in every city, to every country. Imagine how much rubbish we make everyday.

First, we must identify what the main causes are for this problem, and then suggest solutions that may benefit everyone involve. Obviously, the enlarging population in Earth is one of the main causes of this problem. We may not be able to halt everyone in conception; however, we still have the opportunity to educate ourselves. Massive production of non-recyclable item such as plastics is of one of the major causes too.

Majority of us are unaware of the said global issue. This should prompt the higher authorities to provide and implement an effective campaign on recycling. The use of media such as television advertisements, billboard ads, radio programs, newspaper ads, and many more about proper segregation and disposal of garbage contents will certainly help. As a matter of fact, promotion of "greener is better" campaign in grocery stores is brilliant. Some stores provide consumers paper bags instead of plastic bags whereas others encourage shoppers to bring their own recyclable grocery bags to reduce the use of plastic bags. Moreover, one not only save 5 cents, but also ultimately, save everyone from the harm of increasing rubbish may cause us.

Writing Feedback / IELTS - Worldwide rubbish problem; Causes and Measures [3]

Thank you so much for your corrections! I had a very difficult time constructing that essay. I am just not used to writing essays. My exam will be on the 16th of February. Can you give me tips on how I to make conclusion paragraphs? Because it always seem to me that I am just repeating myself whenever I write conclusions. Thanks! :)

Writing Feedback / IELTS - One year break after highschool to university studies [2]

TOPIC:
In some countries young people are encouraged to work or travel for a year between finishing high school and starting university studies.
Discuss the advantages and disadvantages for young people who decide to do this.

Taking a break from school may be great for everybody but not for everyone. This essay is going to explore on the advantages and disadvantages of work experience for high school graduate students before entering university.

Many of the advantages an individual may find is being able to save money in advance for university studies; lessened burden for one that was able to save enough than to those who were not able. In addition to that, students who have chosen to gain work experience exposes themselves in a positive way. As this bring insights and prepare themselves on what to expect in the outside-school world. For instance, a high school student still has some internal fears, underdeveloped traits and character. But, with the benefits of being able to converse to different types and ages of people surrounding them, being exposed to different types of situation that may arise, this may actually promote growth in wellness and character of the student.

On the other hand, a high school student may prefer to continue his/her study for post-graduate studies due to this reason. It delays the process of finishing the program on time. In fact, with thousands of university or even college graduates every year, this provides limited opportunities of occupation for those who have chosen to prolong their process.

Ultimately, the verdict depends on the person. Everyone has different priorities in life. Presented advantages of taking a year off from school for work outweighed the benefits from those who did not.

Grammar, Usage / Reversed perspectives against the current educational system [3]

As I stand on the platform, I can tell that their eyes exceedingly sent me messages of eagerness of knowing the different world outside. Though as if those minds were imprisoned from their childhood.

Instead of elaborating the textbook itself, I'd rather encourage .... to bring it with them, during travels, or even vacation stays. Instead of divulging into some hypocritical textbooks.

Undergraduate / My life time goal has always been to own a restaurant; GOALS (350 Words) [3]

Since you need 350 words to construct your essay, I suggest you start with your introductory paragraph. Elaborate more on your dream restaurant. Describe how you would want it to be like, where would it be located and such. Then I guess on the next paragraph, try to work on the adversities that you may face as you pursue your dream. You're going to need at least 4 paragraphs to make.

Writing Feedback / IELTS - Children taught to be good members of society; from a child to adult [4]

Topic: Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of society. Others, however, believe that school is the place to learn this.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Young people are influenced by a vast amount of things that surround them as they grow. Majority of us believe that parents, in particular, are ones to shape and mold their young's to become active participants of our society. While others believe that school plays a major part in that process. In my opinion, the work should be done by the three participants involve: the parents, the school, and by the child himself.

From infancy to pre-school, children's first contact are their parents. Children learn fast by mere listening and visualizing. They even don't have the slightest idea to whether what they see and hear is right or wrong, so this is where parents come into picture. In fact, this time period is the best opportunity for parents to portray the best image they can be for their child. For example, parents are to teach their sons and daughters to be kind and respectful of others. This value encompasses a good moral conduct.

Differing environments create variances and flexibility in child's learning. The influence of teachers and peers greatly attributes to the development to that of the child. By age 6 onwards, half of the day is spent in school with classmates, group of friends, teachers and so on. Teachers are known to be the "second parents", and thus this stage is basically where the foundation taught by the "first" parents is to continue along. Second parents teach their students varying courses to which a child may find interest with and must encourage them to excel and strive for more.

However, a young child will not stay young forever. There will come to a point that a decision may have to be made by himself. A decision that may affect not just himself, but also others. This decision that encompasses all, from everything that was taught and learned from the beginning to childhood unto the present time.

Essays / "Happiness"; Exemplification Essay - Writing intrdouction [5]

Here's a tip I got from a really good friend of mine. When writing an introductory part of your essay, the easiest way to do is think about your main point, but BROADER. Just think of your main point, but make it really broad or think of something that relates to your main point and talk about that intro. For example: Your topic is about cheese, you can start off by saying, you like a lot of things , but cheese is the best! **hope that helps!

Writing Feedback / Women should not marry in their teen years [4]

All their personal dreams are generally postposed delayed or even set aside and as the family growsas a result of a growing family, it becomes even more difficult to attain. it is more and more difficult to fulfill them.

Good conclusion. :)

because in the end the most important goal of most women is to start a family.

You can probably change the word "in the end" into ultimately

But waiting to get married

In addition to that, delaying marriage

Writing Feedback / With no doubt, Experience is the best teacher [4]

Good intro. :)

On the other hand, we ought not to always get experience from our errors. Instead of that , we could learn some lessons from other's experiences.individuals' adventures . For example, when some individuals come across problems in their careers and after that find a solution for it we can use their experience in favor of ourselves and avoid repeat same mistake in our job. Suggestion: How about you cite a real example? Based on your experience or other's.

To sum up, I argue that experience is the best teacher.

I don't see the argument here. Try this, In conclusion, I strongly believe that experience is our best teacher.
