Hi everyone ! It's my first post in this amazing forum. I learned a lot by reading comments on essay similar to mine. I specially would like to thank the EssayForum contributor Louisa (vangiespen) for her informative great comments on other essays.
I would appreciate any comment on my following essay.
Outline why you have selected your chosen three university courses, and explain how this relates to your previous academic or professional experience and your plans for the future.
*Please do not duplicate the information you have entered on the work experience and education section of this form (minimum word count: 50 words, maximum word count: 500 words)
Chevening Scholarship provides a rare opportunity to enhance my surgical training, and to gain invaluable skills and knowledge, that I shall never have access to in my country.
As a junior surgeon, I chose three courses that offer training in advanced surgical skills, in addition to providing the basics of surgical research and research methodology.
My first choice is the Surgical and Interventional Science MCs course at UCL, one of the best ten universities in world.
This course gives a unique opportunity to learn about microsurgery and robotic surgery. Training on these advanced surgical techniques is not available in Libya, therefore acquiring these skills will set me apart from other surgeon, and will give me the chance to transfer these techniques to others, and to contribute to the surgical practice in my country.
The second course is the Surgical Skills and Sciences MSc at Queen Mary university.
This course offers training in basic and advance laparoscopic and endoscopic skills, in addition to providing invaluable information about conducting surgical research.
During my work in the surgical department, I had the chance to assist in many laparoscopic surgeries, I have always been amazed and fascinated by the laparoscopic techniques, I spent long time watching on screens how senior surgeons manipulate the long stick-like tools inside the abdomens of patients, while I hold the camera for them.
The course is my dream opportunity to acquire laparoscopic techniques and skills. I have always been interested in.
The third course is Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery MCh at Anglia Ruskin university. This course is also focus on the concept of minimally invasive techniques, as well as laparoscopic stimulation training.
As it can be observed all courses aimed at the idea of minimally invasive techniques in surgery, which match my interest in the concept, and my ambition to gain the skills and the knowledge that will help me advance in my career as a surgeon.
Thanks!
