Writing Feedback / Possible effects of longer living for individuals and society[Report IELTs] [NEW]

Surveys show that people are living longer in many countries. But increased life expectancy has many implications for aging individuals and for society as a whole. What are the possible effects of longer living for individuals and society?

At present, with the rapid progress of economy and society, the standard of living rises correspondently. The improvement promotes people's expectation on life, helping them live longer than before. It also brings unpredictable results in terms of individuals and society.

Undeniable, there are benefits for individuals who possess longer life. To begin with, people with longer life can work more time and postpone retirement, thusly, for one thing they create more values for the public and the society objectively. For another they gain more confidence and sense of fulfillment instead of emotion of depression after retirement. In current society, some jobs like doctors and so forth require the job applicants shall be experienced and skillful. People with longer life address the demand partially.

However, negative effects for individuals and society is not negligible. Firstly, as long as senior citizens occupy current jobs, the younger cannot alter them, thereby causing a tide of unemployment which may be harmful for the stability of society.

Secondly, aging group propose a serious challenge for social welfare and security. The government has to spend more money on pension craft, in other words, every citizen with a job pays more taxes to raise the older people. Once the expenditure in one field increases, on the basis of limited finance the government's capability of providing other public services become weaker.

Thirdly, whether the resources of medication can meet the increasingly high requirement of aging people remains to be a problem. Doctors and nurses take more time to care for these people and some patients who need equal medical care have been put aside.

Based on the arguments from various factors above, it is obvious that aging tide is inevitable and how to maximize the advantages of aging people while eliminating the disadvantages is a realistic question.

337 words. A bit longer than my assumption. Sometimes how to control the length of the 2nd essay of IELTs is not easy for me.

Writing Feedback / Detail the factors that affect editors to choose broadcasting news. [5]

Actually, in some countries, censorship must be taken into consideration. In China, the gov has the privilege to stop any broadcasting which may pose a threat to its regime through a powerful department which penetrates the whole system of the country. Thusly, it takes courage for an editor to show the public the truth which the government fears because the editor then will suffer from various revenges.

I am especially keen on the book<1984> which was written by George Owell.

Writing Feedback / Topic: A time you have the courage to do something or face something difficult [5]

Although there are illegal people and illegal things around us, we should have the courage to do our best to fight against these illegal people and things. From my own experience, I learned that if we keep being silence, we can never stop these illegal people doing illegal things, and it is my courage to fight against illegal people and things that helped me to stop the book store manager from selling more illegal books and DVD movies or continuously do harm to the young adults or even the society.

a little repetition?

perhaps u need some more thesaurus to help make ur lexical resources increasingly amplified.

illegal=======committing crimes criminal innocent sin culprit offenders offence stain people who break the law

Even there are still unreasonable and illegal things exist in the world, it is our responsibility to fight against these crimes without hesitation. From my own experience, I learned that silence never prevent any law-breaking actions but make it worse. I took courage to stop the bookstore manager going on selling books and DVDs no matter whether he is aware of relevant law or not, thereby keeping him from corrupting more teenagers and adults.

Writing Feedback / Economic development VS Loss of social values [IELTs] [10]

Nowadays, most countries improve the standard of living through economic development. But some social values are lost as a result. Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

At present, living standard has been improved emphatically along with rapid economic advancement. People truly benefit from the development whereas some individuals propose that the convenience and advantage people enjoy is at the cost of social values. I believe that the disadvantages triumph over the advantages.

Indeed, economic and technological progress greatly facilitates public's lives. From the perspective of efficiency, the widely use of car and so forth noticeably prompts people's life paces, making their life and work increasingly efficient and time-saving. Furthermore, technology innovations, already a major driving force in economy advancement, bring about unbelievable changes of people's means of communication. The application of mobiles and various online chatting tools accelerates information's transmission and enable people to interact with others easily, indirectly promote the progress of living standard.

However, one issue that has been fervently discussed is the ignorance of social values like ethic in the express train of economy. Some virtues have already been disposed of. The recession of ethic motivate people to cheat and fraud in the hope of gaining money and power in modern society. The climbing rate of crime involves robbery and theft proves that merely economic development may not be the answer to everything. Nevertheless, people would rather struggle in the complex of money than stay at home and talk with family members. Even the rich may possess a lower sense of happiness than the poor before. Seldom do people ask themselves what they really need. Instead, they indulge themselves into the tide of pursuing material wealth and fame, satisfying with the advancement of living standards.

To conclude, developing economy is necessary but it is unwise to ignore the significance of social virtues. And also, simple returning to the past cannot address the problem. In order to maximizing the benefit of advancing economy which contributes to improved criteria of living, confinement of ethic is required.
