Writing Feedback / About Betsy Hart, an adoptive writter (her writing style is evocative and simple) [NEW]

Betsy Hart is a countrywide syndicated journalist for the Scripps Howard News Service. She is prominent for writing about intellectual and family issues. The books she published were all top hit. She appeared on Fox news and other advertisements. I am truly engrossed and would love to read more about her.

The style of writing I believe is evocative and simple. In the article, Betsy is standing up for parents and demanding them to take responsibility for their choices as a parent. She empowers parents by helping them distinguish the flaws in leaning on too much "expert" direction and dismissing our own understanding of how to raise our children.

It provides the reader the potency to say no to the current parenting experts. It essentially communicates to the reader that no one knows their children better than them and its okay for the parents to make the decisions that are right for their family. Betsy Hart asks the reader to look at parenting as a mission to rescue your child's heart. She wants parents to liberate their children's heart from the negative influences of civilization as a whole. She doesn't clobber everything in American Culture. She is not anti-public schools or television. She does place the conscientiousness on the parents to make the decisions about how to deal with whatever schooling choice they make. It's up to the parents to decide what they want their children to watch and how much. Nothing new in this book, it is basically straightforward. The book is not heavy on child psychology vernacular. It's written in a very simple and straightforward style.

I concur with the article because I can narrate to that. I believe that parents should be held accountable for the mistakes that their children caused. Parents are so afraid of making any mistakes with their children that they end up succumbing to the culture of "pushover parenting". Although she stresses that parents follow their instincts the more imperative message is that parents should be on a rescue mission for their children's hearts. In other words, parents ought to train their children to do the right thing because it's the right thing and not to do the right thing only to evade castigation or other negative consequences. There's a big disparity and rescuing our children's hearts in this way not only trains them to be more honest, but also develops their characters to truly see right and wrong. She stresses this point in almost every chapter. So much contemporary parenting advice may get results, but does not address the heart. It's obvious that Betsy Hart is a Christian, but she wrote this book for a general audience. The results she's looking for go well beyond just good behavior. Everything Betsy talked about pretty much sums up what I want to accomplish with my children. I want them to learn the right etiquette and mind-set to be successful in life.

Undergraduate / 'theatre, band, or athletics - not easy for me' - UC Prompts [3]

By the time my friends and classmates got out of high school, it seemed like a niche was already there waiting for them. Whether it was theatre, band, or athletics, these extracurriculars seemed to be easier for me to do.

Writing Feedback / 'working in an office is boring and bad for your health?' - work Essay [NEW]

Some people think that working in an office is boring and bad for your health, and some say the opposite, they think that it is much easier, cleaner and more comfortable to work in an office. As a dispatcher in MV Transportation, my job gives me the freedom to interact with the customers and coworkers. Some of the tasks I do include sending messages to the drivers to pick up the customers, making sure that they are on time for the pickup. I also use the computer to monitor where the drivers are in case if someone gets lost, I guide them to the right locations.

I am really satisfied with what I do. I go to work excited and knowing that I will have fun in the office, and also I come home every day with a smile on my face and feeling happy. There is always some good side and a bad side for every job you do, the bad side about my job is dealing with the customers complaining how our drivers don't come on time, and that they drive slowly. I sometimes hear all sort of complains concerning the safety of the drivers. I usually ignore those people complaining because I know that our drivers are doing what they are supposed to do. I try to create a good environment and always hope for the best by making myself happy and active. Those who find their work boring are much more liable to make mistakes and just not be suitable for it. Therefore, they end up being unemployed and more likely to get fired if they find another job.

It is more comfortable and safe to work in the office. There is competition among other coworkers you try to do well and the manager rewards your good work ethic by promoting you to a higher position. There are also people who make a living from working at home. I personally think it is a bad idea because when you are alone at home, you need someone who can motivate you. It can be quite boring to work alone and this can destroy your mood.

I can't complain about my job, most of the customers are friendly and the coworkers are very pleasant. The managers are pretty much involved with everything that happens. My supervisor respects all the employees; he prepares them for the job and give them good training. If you don't mind flexible hours of work, then this job suits you perfectly. But if you don't like working long hours, it's better to look elsewhere.

This kind of job also makes you acquainted with different people in person. So you do not just talk with them on the phone or take orders you actually meet them in person. To make customers satisfied is not about luck it is a combination of teamwork and a lot of experience. Work experience is a great value for me in the first place because of all the points that were listed above. My work history is not very long, but in my case I think quality is way more important than quantity and it is only the matter of time. I try to get everything I can from this job experience to become a very valuable employee not only here but in any job. I encourage anybody that is interested in a job to come checkout MV Transportation.

Writing Feedback / English reading 1. Fundamental of Soccer [4]

Soccer is the biggest sport around the world today. There are many young players around the world trying to become one of the best players. Even though the professional soccer players such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo became one of the best players, they were not good at it before. They learned the tricks and fundamental of soccer through practice and hard work. Fundamentals are very important because it makes the player sharpens their agile footwork. There are many fundamentals of soccer, but there are three main fundamentals: the first is ball control, dribbling, and passing. These techniques are the foundation of all great soccer players.

The first reason I think the ball control is very important is because if an inexperienced player has a weakness for controlling the ball, then that is not a good thing; because the player will not be able to pass the ball and it will steer away from the opposing team. The ball will be in the opponent's control if a defense or a mid-fielder does not have good ball control. The player needs to fake out the opponent and pass the ball safely to another allied player so that they don't lose the possession of the ball.

The second reason I think dribbling is important is to score a goal. It will take more time and efforts to learn how to dribble because not a lot of professional players are good at this. A dribble is magnificent but it doesn't just hold entertainment value, since a successful dribble can give an advantage for the attacking team. There are several kinds of dribbles made with the inside, outside sole or back heel of your foot but many other dribbles involves more than just nimble footwork. They also involve body movement mechanic that allows the player to shift his weight quickly and to startle the defender. Also, never dribble with your eyes on the ground since there is high risk of losing the ball. For example, if a player does a successful dribble and then puts his eyes on the ground, he might have another defender in his face and get the ball stolen from his feet.

The third reason I think passing is crucial regardless of your playing position is that you will have to master most of the passing techniques in the game. Passing skills are a decisive aspect for the success of any team. Possession time with the ball will go up with better passing skills. If you pass the ball better you will be a better team. But it's not that simple. If you pass the ball better than your opponent you will win more games. In addition, good passing could result in more fatigue at the end of the game due to your opponent chasing the ball. However, superior passing does not always result in wins. Your team could have 70% possession time but in the end the other team scores a goal and you lose the game.

Finally, to be a good soccer player requires the ability to perform well in dribbling, ball control, and passing. Dribbling is perhaps the most essential soccer skill, because it's not only necessary for moving the ball up the field, but a vital part of ball control in general. Players will have a lot more confidence and will play with more enthusiasm if they know they can dribble and protect the ball. It is very difficult to play soccer if you can't dribble and shield the ball. Even the best soccer players in the world are known for their great dribbling. Second most important aspect is ball control. It prevents the opposition from getting hold of the ball, and it also gives you more time to spark an incisive attack. Knowing whether you want to pass on to a teammate, or dribble at a defender will impact what kind of control is best. You should also be aware of defensive pressure and learn to take your first touch away from pressure while controlling the ball. The third fundamental in soccer is passing. Passing also enables a team to keep possession and it is worth emphasizing that a team cannot score if it does not have possession. A well-placed pass from midfield to a point in front of an attacker's run can set up a goal, and the ability to do passes like this is one of the most prized assets in the game. Like any other aspect of the game, passing in all its various forms must be practiced before any player can be sure of being effective in a game. Soccer is enjoyed and played all across the world. Through soccer, I have found a way to showcase my determination, hard work, and leadership in an active yet sparkling way. While playing soccer I forget about the pressures of everyday life, whether it is school or family issues.
