Numerous medias are used communicating information. Every media has own special character, including their advantage and disadvantage in conveying information. I hold that books, film, and TV are the effective medias for communicating information.

Book as a media has its superiority in transmitting the information, because it is easy to acquiring the knowledge which you want to learn. For example, in school students acquire new knowledge through their text book. Furthermore, The kind of book is various, thus all kinds of information can be communicated by books. However people are easy to be tired when they are reading, because books are monotonous in the form of communicating information. In addition, the speed of updating of knowledge is lower than TV, because writing a book spend a lot of time, and it is inconvenient to add information in a book which has published. TV is a media which has various forms of communicating information, therefore, most of people prefer to getting information by watching TV programme. However the content of the programme is limited, thus people cannot always get the information that they need. Films use its special mean to express the people's life, so the information that the film convey is more close to our real life. People can acquire the experience of life from an excellent film. For example, I saw a film named 'The pursuit of happiness',the Chris Gardner's story moved me deeply.

However, overall I hold that book is the most effective media and it includes all kinds of information. Thus, book shall be my first choice to get information.

Topic：Increasing the price of petrol is the best way to solve the growing traffic and polution problems.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
What other measures do you tihink might be effective?
Essay:
In recent years, people living in cities suffered the growing traffic and pollution problems. Thus, the ways to solve these problems have been discussed extensively, and different people have different ways. Many people think that increasing the price of petrol is the best way to solve the problems.

The increasing demand of cars is the main reason causing the growing traffic, and the growing traffic leads more pollution. Maybe the cost owning a car becomes more and more lower is the key point of increasing demand of cars. But it is difficult to control the act of bussinessman. So that, we should have an act in the price of petrol. Through increasing the price of petrol, we change the relationship of demand and supply, to achieve the goal of decreasing the demand of cars in market.It is an effective method to solve the problems because it complys with the laws of economics. Increasing the price of petrol means to increasing the cost owning a car. So people who tend to buy a new car may cancell the project,and people who have already a car may reduce the use of cars. In some extent, we suscessfuly solve growing traffic and pollution problems.

However more ways are needed to solve these problems. In my perspective, government should provide a key role in solving the growing traffic. In the short period of time,Limiting the number of buying is to sovle the increasing number of cars,and limiting the number of the caron the road is another way to reduce the number of cars. In the long term,government should encourage the development of new erengy vehicles.Government should cut the tax of the new erengy vehicles company, and government should provide the additional fund to support the development of the company in necessary time.

Writing task 1

Topic: The diagrams below show the stages and equipment used in the cement- making process, and show cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The diagrams show that the processes of cement production and concrete production . The process of cement production begins with limestone and clay. It uses them inside the crusher, making them into powder. Putting the power into the mixer, and it is then heated by Rotating heater.The last process is to put the mixture on the grinder, and get the cement . At last,it is packed into bags.

Concrete production is a simple process in contrast to the process of cement production . According to the proportion of cement(15%), water(10%), sand(25%) and grave(15%), they are put into the concrete mixer together. So through the machine , we can get the concrete production.

In comparisons the two process , they have some similar parts in pruduction process.Many raw materials are needed in both process , and mixing process is an indispensable process for them. Stones have a important role in the process . But in the cement process , there is a heating process , which is not in concrete process.

Essay:
In modern society,with the development of the technology in many fields,the people's life has changed a lot. Especially in the communication, a great change has happened in contrast to the old means of communication.For example,when my grandpa was a child..If he wants to connect with their relatives who are far away from him.He can only write a letter.It spends long time for the relatives receiving the letter.In sometimes,many imporant information cannot be conveyed in time.

However,the invention of phone has changed all that.People around the world can connect with each other by phone.It brings great convenience for us to communicate with our relatives who are far away from us. We can also interact with our friends who are aboard..Meanwhile, Internet is another powerful tools for us to convey information timely.There are many communication tools on the internet.Such as,we can use msn to communicate with others without meeting them in the real world.It also makes us meet new friends around the world.Communicating becomes more and more facility with the help of technology.But,we cannot neglect the negative affect that the development technology in communication.brings. People tend to spend more time connenting with friends on the internet ranther than going out to visit friends.Maybe it causes the relationship between friends becoming increasily alienated.

In my perspective,Visiting friends and communicating with people face to face is the best way to enhance the friendship.Although the invention of internet and phone make communication become more easily and timely,these tools cannot instead of talking with people in real world. If we want to maitain a true friendship,so we need to go out of home,and visit the people whom you want to keep a good relationship with.Internet and phone are just a tool to convey some information,however it cannot convey your true affection in contrast to talk with people face to face..
