Scholarship / Community leadership involvement initative; voluntary attachment with a community information center [7]

Hi, please read my essay and tell me if it answers the prompt.
Describe the goal, your involvement and the outcome of one significant community leadership initiative in which you played a role

Aspiring to be a journalist, after my high school I had a voluntary attachment with a community information center where I brought into notice a broken-down foot bridge linking my community to the other. Upon persistent dissemination of information, it came to the notice of the District Chief Executive (DCE) who donated 20 bags of cement and other building materials in my care for the construction of that bridge.

Scholarship / How I managed to understand this phrase: "Practice makes perfection" - 'challenge' scholarship essay [4]

Describe a time when you overcame one or more significant obstacles/challenges so that you were able to improve the lives of others in your community. How did you react to the challenge(s) and what did you learn from the experience? (100-word maximum)

From tender age, I have always wanted to acquire knowledge and skills in ICT. In my Junior High School days, I always follow my senior friend to the internet café to make research, chat with friends and access various information.

I carefully studied what he always does and asked questions pertaining to ICT. I certainly not understood what "Practice makes perfection" means until I started self-study on what my friend does and add more to it.

Fortunately, the practice paid-off and today I have attained great ICT skills that let me tutor people that needs help in ICT.

Please I need your feedbacks on this essay.

Scholarship / Executive and co-founder of the Information and Communication Technology Students Association [6]

Describe the goal, your involvement and the outcome of one significant community leadership initiative in which you played a role (100-word maximum).

Playing a role in leadership, I was an executive and co-founder of the Information and Communication Technology Students Association (ICTSA). The group was created due to the low-level in ICT among students in the community, our drive was to support, teach and inspire students toward attaining in-depth competency in the subject. Being one the officials that has immense knowledge in ICT and awarded the overall best ICT student for the 2012/2013 academic year, I was always chosen to tutor students. There has been a virtuous outcome as we have tutor and support students to excel both technologically and academically.

Please I want a review of this essay.
