The graph shows the percentage of four different types of fuels in use between the years 1800 and 2000.
Summarize the information by describing the main features of the graph and making comparisons where appropriate.
This line chart illustrates both history and forecast of energy consumption in the USA between 1980 to 2030. Overall, Petrol and Oil, and Coal will be predicted to increase in 2030, while others might be stable.
Looking first at history parts, Petrol and Oil was the largest energy consumption which was about 35 quadrillion units in 1980, whereas Nuclear, Solar/ Wind and Hydropower were only about 3 quadrillion units. After that, Petrol and Oil, and Coal have been dramatically leapt for over the past two decades, which were approximately 42 and 26 quadrillion units respectively.
Turning to the predictions, from 2020 to 2030, there will be substantial growth in both Petrol and Oil, and Coal. As for Petrol and Oil, it will be reached at about 47 quadrillion units. On the other hand, Nuclear and Solar/ Wind will slightly go up in 2030 about 9 and 7 quadrillion units respectively. As regard Natural Gas and Hydropower, they are anticipated to slightly go down in 2030.
