As her teacher in specialized courses, actually my first contact with Xin was more
than a decade years ago, when I was invited to accompany for the Chorus, during the days, she presented an intelligent girl.
When her sophomore year of university, despite I was not her teacher at that time, she came to me to ask for learning composition and harmonics. After I refused her one time, she did not give up but requested for an entrance exam to get the chance of being my student. Being a student, she was seriously studying and practicing, in spite of I was well known for rigor. As a matter of fact, I am clearly understand no one could put up with it, except the little girl who was always having classes and practicing alone in my garage where there are some broken bikes and two pianos from 12.00p.m. to 22.00p.m. twice a week. Particularly impressed me is one day it was a heavy snow, she came to have classes lonely, what made me firmly believe that she was a girl who was worth training well.
In the next time, as time permitted, when I went to other places to have academic exchanges, she usually went along with us to work as an assistant. Through her contributions, the promising young girl helped not only herself, but also others around her.
Three years later, although she passed the exam and to be a music teacher, she never give up her initial dream in learning music a nd kept on learning to me. With abandon of knowledge obtained by reading, she could discuss with me about some professional questi ons.
