Hello, I would like some input in my motivational letter. The main focus is to answer "Why are you a suitable candidate" and along with other points and criteria that can help answer my question:

Why have you chosen to apply to this programme?
Why did you apply to study in Hungary?
What do you expect to gain from your studies?
Why does your background make you a suitable candidate?
How will the programme help you achieve your goals?
How does your proposed study relate to a particular development challenge or need at the global, national, and/or local level?
How will you apply your new skills and qualifications in the future?
What challenges would you expect to encounter while studying in a foreign country, and how could you prepare for these challenges?

Thank you for your input.

Dear Admissions Committee,
I am writing to express my keen interest in pursuing an undergraduate program in electrical engineering at your esteemed institution. I grew up loving automobiles as a young, enthusiastic child. When I started high school and pushed more into engineering, I learned about the possible use of electric vehicles. One vehicle that stood out to me was the Lotus Evija.

The Lotus Evija served as my inspiration to pursue electrical engineering, with the thought that electric vehicles may be the future of transportation due to their ability to emit less pollution and utilize less energy. The Evija expands on this idea by pushing the limits of electric cars. My dream is to contribute to the realization of this revolutionary task. The thought of bringing the Evija concept to life through hard work and dedication is thrilling.

I chose Hungary for two main reasons. Firstly, I was inspired to continue my studies in this country after visiting the Hungarian Electrical Engineering Museum. Hungary has a reputation as the "Heart of Europe," with strong engineering foundations and a high reputation for delivering electrical engineering education. Secondly, Hungary's progress in embracing electric cars as an important component of sustainable mobility. Promoting electric vehicles aligns with my personal interest in the interactions of technology and environmental protection, bringing me closer to realizing my aspirations of collaborating with industry leaders and exposure to groundbreaking projects just like the Lotus Evija.

My goal is to obtain knowledge and expertise from my studies so that I can engage in research opportunities and make contributions. By the time I graduate, Lotus Evija's concept might be realized; however, I will be eager to pursue new opportunities in other areas of global concern, such as electronic waste and energy sustainability. My interest in engineering, together with the dynamic learning environment provided by Hungary's electrical engineering program, gives me confidence that I will be well-prepared to achieve these goals.

I have a strong interest in matriculating into your prestigious institution, as I believe I have qualities that resonate with the university's vision and abilities. During my academic journey, I have gained a solid foundation in the key principles of electrical engineering, including circuit analysis and power systems. I have also conducted many experiments. For example, in my Milliken oil drop experiment, I worked with advanced equipment to determine the electric charge of a single electron. I believe, based on my experiences, I am well suited to your institution.

While some may find living in Hungary daunting, I am dedicated to overcoming challenges associated with studying abroad, including cultural shock and language barriers. I have prior experience with neighboring countries, academic collaboration with diverse students, and have visited Hungary and engaged in cultural exchange events. Independently learning Hungarian and immersing myself in the culture has given me confidence that I will excel in this new environment.

In conclusion, the undergraduate electrical engineering program in Hungary resonates deeply with my academic and career aspirations. The exceptional theoretical knowledge offered, coupled with the opportunity to contribute to the revolution in electric vehicles, aligns perfectly with my goals. I am confident that the dynamic learning environment and rich cultural experiences in Hungary will not only enhance my academic journey but also empower me to make meaningful contributions in the field.

Thank you for considering my application. I am eager to contribute to and learn from the esteemed electrical engineering program at your institution.

Sincerely yours,
X

Remember that Hngaricum Stipendium is an international scholarship that hopes to have their graduates make a difference in their home countries. While your admiration for the electric car is a very good foundation for your interest in studying this course, you should have more interest in growth and development beyond what the technology of that particular electric car represents. Try to connect it to your situation at home. What is the status of EV tech in your country? Would you say that by learning these concepts you will be able to contribute to the development of that sector in your part of the world? Give the writer a broader idea as to how you will use what you learn from Europe about the technology to promote clean transportation in your own country.
