Would you mind help me on this motivation letter for applying to Master of Business analytics please
Dear Admission committee,
I'd like to take this opportunity to express my motivation to pursue a Master Business Analytics & Econometrics at University of XXX.
All of my experiences have been in engineering, which may be due to a misunderstanding when I was younger when I believed that the business career path was limited. However, because I grew up with my mother, who works in business, we discussed and exchanged opinions about our jobs, which familiarized me with her management work. Moreover, when I was in college, engineering economics was one of my favorite subjects as it was comprehensible and related to everyone's daily life.
As I worked, I discovered that data could make research jobs more efficient and bring them in the right direction. I was first introduced to data by ZX University's Machine Learning course on Coursera. It is about the definition, algorithm, and how to create the function of the problem. I could finish the course but I can't fully understand the programing part because of my self-learning limitation. Following that, I enrolled in Business Analytics Specialization by the University of XY through Coursera. Although I still didn't complete the course yet, I enjoyed the subjects and I want to learn more about them. The course acknowledges me with data about my surroundings that I never considered before.
Germany has always been a dream destination of mine since I was a child. I've been learning German language since I was in high school through an activities club. Ever since I decided to study Automotive Engineering, I still focused on studying the German language so I take an A1 course at Goethe institute.
When the time has come, I decided to pursue my dream by applying to this course. Master Business Analytics and Econometrics offered by University of XXX best meet my needs. I look through the curriculum and it begins with the foundation of data analytics. This would put all students on the same page and help them understand correctly, which I was looking for. I would love to study the definition of data analytics including statistics, programming, machine learning and AI even though I have studied some of these subjects in my bachelor's degree, but it was on a different topic. I hope to apply this knowledge in the fields of engineering and research, as well as in business. A capstone project with industrial partner is an opportunity to learn not only how to use data analytics skills in a project, but also about management and teamwork. This would help me understand how the actual project works with data. I could share my knowledge of how I analyze and summarize the results from a calculation base on engineering methodology, as I did with my research project.
