This is the first time I have written ML, I hope someone can help me to check it. I am applying for the Erasmus+ Scholarship through my university's suggestion, there are no listed subjects and can apply to 3 universities, so I do not write the name of the university in ML.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am currently a student of the Faculty of Management and Tourism at Hanoi University. It is with great excitement that I write this letter to express my keen interest in participating in the Erasmus+ Program.
I have always been fascinated by mathematics and numbers, but I know it is realistic to connect math with a specific field. In semester one of this year, I had a chance to participate in a conference about the application of mathematics in the field of social science by the Faculty of Management and Tourism of Hanoi University and research groups of the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics operated which inspired me to explore the Applications of Mathematics in economics, finance and banking. Besides my major - accounting, I tried to register and join as many lessons as possible relating to mathematics and financing, but familial obligations and financial constraints made me unable to study full-time for my academic goal, which is the vital reason for me to apply for this Scholarship. Despite not having yet known the list of exchange subjects, I believe the quality teaching environment and financial support of the university can push me to pursue my goal.
In addition, I perceive studying in Italy as an extraordinary opportunity to acquire more cultural knowledge and connect with new people with different backgrounds, mindsets and lifestyles. I have not traveled abroad, but I can confidently say that I can harmonize with others and adapt to changing environments. Coming from a small village in a suburb of Hanoi, where study conditions, particularly for English subjects, are challenging, I initially struggled with the university's English-language study program as a freshman. However, I found my motivation when I decided to live in a dormitory along with 8 other students. I often kidded that we were a small world because we have different origins, characteristics lifestyles, and study different majors. Six students are studying six different languages in my room, so it is both a challenge and an opportunity for me to deal with conflicts and absorb new knowledge. I gradually become more optimistic and confident thanks to living in a new environment.
In conclusion, I want to express my excitement and readiness to apply for the Erasmus+ Scholarship. If I have the opportunity, I am sure to do my best and tirelessly to reach my goal and contribute to an increase in mathematics application in economics.
Sincerely,
