Dear Computer Science Program Selection Committee,
I am writing to express my sincere interest in securing a place in the Master of Science Program in Computer Science at Graz University of Technology.
I'm drawn to this master's program by my ambition to create intelligent safety solutions for industrial workers, recognizing the critical role industries play in shaping our society. This passion seamlessly aligns with TU Graz's commitment to sustainable development. As India gears up to be a global manufacturing hub in the coming decade, I'm enthusiastic about contributing to the safe and steady growth of my country and the world. TU Graz offers the perfect platform for me to gain the knowledge and skills essential for achieving this objective.
Crafting Industrial safety solutions necessitates expertise in five crucial domains: Data Science, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, AI Engineering, and Human Factors. The TU Graz Computer Science program, with its focus on Intelligent Systems, serves as my conduit to specialized knowledge across these disciplines. I'm particularly eager to delve into knowledge discovery and data mining for my projects, as well as to master navigation systems, essential components of industrial safety. The program's research-intensive approach, combined with opportunities like collaborating on Dr. Franz Perkonf's CD Labs project on "reliable intelligent systems in harsh environments," not only perfectly aligns with my mission but also offers a valuable perspective on harsh environments in factories. Additionally, TU Graz's esteemed reputation as an industrial safety pioneer solidifies my decision.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Technology from Manipal Institute of Technology, majoring in Computer and Communication Engineering. This foundational education equipped me with a strong grasp of computer science fundamentals. My minors in Human-Computer Interaction and Neural Networks provided avenues for in-depth exploration. This laid the groundwork for my journey into Extended Reality (XR). Professionally, I led impactful projects, notably overseeing the development of a training Electricity Distribution plant. Here, I successfully reduced fatal accidents by implementing haptic simulations with VR controllers. As an active member of XRSI (Extended Reality Safety Initiative), I've contributed practical insights on innovation and adaptation. Additionally, my paper on scene reconstruction using Mocapnet & Biovision Hierarchy introduces a novel method, offering valuable support for investigation and recreation in accident reports.
Committed to confronting critical issues in industrial safety, I intend to major in Intelligent Systems and minor in Visual Computing at TU Graz. This combination will provide me with a holistic skill set, encompassing knowledge in image processing, object reconstruction, real-time graphics, and embedded/mobile systems. These skills are essential for the development of advanced safety systems.
In summary, my academic journey, professional experiences, and aspirations perfectly align with the core principles and goals of the Computer Science program at TU Graz. I am enthusiastic about contributing to a future that is not only promising but also marked by security.
Thanks
