Motivation letter
Arriving at Barcelona airport with two pieces of luggage and knowing no one, I embarked on my journey to pursue my dream study. Because I truly believe that instead of chasing success, one should follow their passions, and success will soon chase them, which made me realize that monetary value is of secondary importance. As an international student in Spain, the anticipation of starting this new chapter made me feel like a little girl in the midst of the bustling airport. I could hear my heart pounding with a mix of excitement and nerves.

Dear Admissions Committee,

As an international student in a one-year master's degree program on xxx law at the University of xxxx, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the xx program at the University of Rome.

During my experience at AIESEC, the largest youth organization all over the world, as a project manager and team leader, I managed a project called "Invest Your Future" where young volunteers from different countries came to Pakistan, and worked in local businesses in order to gain international experience.

My first introduction to arbitration began when I participated in the project "Alternative Dispute Resolution and free legal aid provision to the population" financed by the European Union, where I provided pro bono services to local businesses. Furthermore, my bachelor's thesis on "The recognition and enforcement of international commercial arbitral awards in Pakistan" provided me with a solid understanding of arbitration agreements, arbitral awards, and the significance of transparency in international dispute settlement, along with the New York Convention of 1958.

Moreover, from January 31 to February 4, I will be attending in the Swiss Arbitration Summit 2024, held in Geneva, Switzerland. At the same time, I have been accepted by Basel Winter Arbitration School, which will be held from February 5 to 9 at the Law Faculty of Basel University in Switzerland. In this interactive five-day program, I will have a chance to learn in-depth about UNCLOS arbitration, International commercial arbitration, Business and human rights arbitration (The Hague Rules), Investor-State arbitration, and Arbitration and mediation at the World Intellectual Property Organization. The knowledge that I will gain from this school will provide me with a valuable background in international dispute litigation and will help me be an excellent student in the International Dispute Settlement xxxxxx program.

The xxx program serves as a bridge between my academic and professional aspirations. Therefore, I have three main reasons to pursue the xxx Program. Firstly, my foremost objective is to become a qualified arbitrator in international commercial dispute settlement. The Master's program in "Dispute Settlement" at this university covers nearly all aspects of the field in which I aim to specialize. Core subjects such as "Contract Law in International Commercial Arbitration"," and "The New York Convention of 1985" provide the optimal foundation for understanding dispute settlement in its own context.

I firmly believe that, as a developing country, Pakistan, the main country in the Sauth Asia importing oil and gas, highlights the importance of having more qualified arbitrators in dispute resolution litigation.

Moreover, I am a virtual reader of the University of Rome. So, I am currently reading "Comparative Law in Arbitration" written by Prof. xxxx, a lecturer in the course "Arbitration Agreement in International Commercial Arbitration" at this Program. If I accepted, I will have a chance to discuss the notion of the separability of the arbitration agreement and the principle of competence-competence with him. Furthemore, one of my academic objectives is to create a fund for both Swiss and Pakistani students in order that those young practioners pursue at least one year of study with a scholarship, which will have an enormous effect on both countries' diplomatic relationships.

In conclusion, I am aware that studying in the "European Master in Law and Economics" program will be challenging due to different educational systems. However, considering that I am one of the top students in my class with an average of 97.33, and my substantial practical experience in law, I feel prepared to take on this challenge. Thanks for your consideration. I am looking forward to a positive response.

Sincerely,
xxxxx

There are actually too many screened information in this presentation for me to give you a useful observation but I will try my best. Remember, my information is incomplete so my advice may or may not be applicable.

I believe that the first 4 paragraphs in the letter are irrelevant to the discussion. These are information that do not aim to support your motivation, but indicates continued learning and training. However, the motivation letter should focus on the driving factors that push you to continue studies abroad. So these paragraphs are not as useful as they you might think they are.

The statements starting at paragraph 5 should be better developed to help explain your motivating factors. Those seem to be the best motivational aspects of your letter.
