How mobile phones affect our life?

A mobile phone is a powerful tool. People can do a great of things via it. However, as a Chinese old proverb goes," The water that bears the boat is the same that swallows it up. ", mobile phones can bring us convenience while it will bring about something terrible. Nowadays, a growing number of people own mobile phones. What's more, people of modern age cannot live without mobile phones, they use the phones almost every second except for the time they are sleeping. Mobile phones have strong radiation for them, which enables the phone to receive messages or calls.. Consequently, there are plenty of bad influences that excessive mobile phone usage will have on human bodies. The following I will list three of the influences and discuss deeper which separately are difficulty sleeping, skin aging and awful mental state.

First, using mobile phones before going to bed will make people have trouble falling asleep quickly. Many people always phub for while before they close their eyes to sleep. Like people use mobile phones as soon as they get up, they will also phub to finish the day. Even people are really tired, they will still insist on doing this. According to CNN, "When we looked at smartphone use around the time when participants reported they went to bed, more smartphone use around that time, in particular, was associated with a longer time to fall asleep and worse sleep quality during the night," said Dr. Gregory Marcus, who is an associate professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. I think that people should quit the deplorable habit since our brain will be in an exciting condition when we use our phone. However, if we continue to use mobile phones without taking rests and before bed, our brain will be metal excitation. Consequently, we will find out it is much more difficult to fall asleep and the quantity of sleeping is horrible.

Second, use mobile phones for too many hours will make our skin worse. Mobile phones will contribute to skin problems. I would like to talk about tech neck and dark face. Many people tend to use their phones a lot, but few of them will be aware of the potential hazard of their skin. When we use our smartphones, we look down the screen and the posture will make our neck feel stressed. I remember that my yoga teacher said that we feel our neck uncomfortable just like getting a stiff neck because there are only two nerves to support our neck and if we low our head for a long time, the posture gives enormous pressure to them. According to Apple Daily, our neck will bear only 10 to 12 pounds if we do not low our heads. The larger the angle of our posture is, the more stress our neck will feel. Hence, if we low our heads in 45- degree angle, our neck has to withstand 49 pounds of pressure just like a bowling ball. Too much radiation will make our skin old. Many people know that it is essential to wear sunscreen to prevent themselves from getting hurt by the strong sun. However, seldom people are aware of the danger of blue light. It will also stimulate our skin to make our face skin old. Whether scrolling social media or watch videos online, users use their phones 85 times on average, which is about 5 hours in total. Consequently, the time we exposure the blue light is quite long, and the blue light will accumulate in our skin to make our face look dark.

Third, the overuse of mobile phones makes our condition of spirit bad. People use their mobile phones when they are waiting for the traffic light or they are on the bus. People now frequently check their phones. As soon as they notice a message coming in, they will immediately click it out. Research from Helsinki Institute for Information Technology and Intel Lab indicated that heavy mobile phone users have to check their phones every ten minutes and at least 30 to 40 times a day. As mobile phones offer more and more functions, people become more and more rely on the small machine. Although I control my using time, it still takes a large part of my daily life. I also notice that it is hard to not to use mobile phones, especially when we see messages or emails coming in. What's more, if we go to work or school without our mobile phones, we will feel anxious about not able to check messages.

To sum up, we will be badly influenced because we overuse mobile phones. If we use too the mobile phone too much time, it is difficult for us to fall asleep and our sleeping time will be shortened. What's more, our skin condition will become worse due to blue light, which also makes our face look dark. Also, our spirit will be weak since we frequently use our mobile phones. We rely on the phones and we cannot stand not to check the messages. Consequently, sleeping problems, skin problem and spirit condition are the three important influences caused by excessive mobile phone usage.

Since this is a research paper, you have to avoid using a personal point of view in the presentation. That creates a slanted discussion and tells the reader that you are not out to inform them, you are out to influence their mindset, which is a very bad idea for a research paper. The first part of the essay is a bit difficult to follow. What is the connection of the proverb with the use of cellphones? While it might make sense to you, it doesn't make sense to the reader so you need to spell it out for them. Describe / explain the connection and its relevance to your research.

You also need to better represent why you chose those 3 cellphone usage effects in your essay. Give a simple overview / summary of why you feel the need to discuss those topics in particular so that the reader will know what to expect in the upcoming paragraphs.

Since you are writing an academic paper, you need to keep an academic tone. Do not use common, every day phrases or words such as "awful" and "deplorable habit". It sounds like you opened an English phrasebook and decided to use the words, even though it makes the paper look highly unprofessional and non-academic in presentation.
