I'm applying 4 cosmetology scholarships. I haven't been in school inover 10yr S.O.S

Q; Describe your most meaningful achievement and how it relates to your future in cosmetology.

A: Enrolling in to cosmetology is a biggest accomplishment for me that I am proud of. Right after high school I entered the work force not really thinking about the future. As I got older I started wanting a career. I have spent the past couple of years thinking about my passion in life and always come back to cosmetology. I love doing hair. I get complemented all the time and I have even done some of my friends hair for their school performances. Watching them continue to further their education makes me want more.The thought of going back to school after 10 years has me a bit nervous but I am excited and eager to start.

2. Why does it make you proud?


3. What kind of person were you ten years ago? How have you changed?


4. Why cosmetology as opposed to, say, fashion design. In other words, why THIS career?


5. In your mind, what's the difference between a job and a career?

I think it's a bit too short. Maybe you should expound more on your answer.

I actually have similar problem of working for a couple of years and wanna go back to school. I have disscussed this with lots of people on how to explain the reason. I am suggested to explain how the working experience influenced me. Show your passion and confidence. Describe what you benefit from work. Hope this can help.
