My name is xxxx. I have studied at the Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Laboratory of Prof. xxxx in xxxx University since 2008. Today, I write this letter to explore the possibility in your team as a postdoctoral position.
Recently, I have successfully defended my PhD and received my PhD degree on September 2013. My dissertation title is "xxxx". During my Ph.D. program, I prepared many types of drug delivery systems such as hydrogels, nanogels, micelles, liposomes, and self-assembled magnetic nanoparticle for biomedical application. I measured and analyzed for their characterization using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, fourier transform infrared spectrometry, thermogravimetry, atomic force microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, dynamic light scattering, zeta-potential, and other assays. Furthermore, some biological experiments such as MTT assay, flow cytometry, and confocal microscopy was also carried out. From the results, I published some papers using these materials (please refer to my curriculum vitae).
I strongly believe that my expertise on biochemistry and biomaterials and my eagerness to acquire new knowledge will be a positive reply for the position. The attached resume provides additional details about my background and my researches. Any suggestions and discussions about my opportunity to work in your research group are highly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your consideration and I am looking forwards to receive your reply!
Yours respectfully,
