British culture in egipt

I work in Education field for 17 years now 9 of them as an English teacher for primary schools' students.
I have a lot of various life experiences as I worked in the development of the local community and participate in a lot of civil activities also. I visited UK twice as a post graduate student at MMU in Manchester. Unfortunately I didn't complete my Master degree because I have faced some critical health circumstances.

I believe that UK needs to spread English culture which is full of polite and good taste. I believe that language must introduce the culture of its nation. I believe that original English morals and traditions is what my society needs in this period in Egypt. We face a critical problem in our society behavior.

I was impressed first time I came to UK and saw the different cultures smoothly melt in UK. It is a very good model the world has to be taught of living peacefully and accept the others. I lived for 4 months in my first visit and came back Egypt. The second trip was longer as it lasted for 9 months.

I wish I had a degree from this scholar ship in Education and back home again to teach my students and colleagues the true English culture and ethics I lived .I think studying with you will be more helpful to shape a new and good vision to change my society and introduce UK to others. Now a lot of people prefer US English language. Our school syllabus is American English with Egyptian culture. I think it is just a freak. I believe that English Language must be taught in British tongue and accent. British culture must be revived again here in Egypt to keep UK great through its literature and beautiful polite delicate English.

Hi Ehab, I am an American, but maybe you will accept my comments and suggestions for your essay nonetheless. I must admit I have some big problems with your essay, but of course I am biased, so feel free to ignore them. I agree that when learning a foreign language, it is helpful and interesting to learn the culture behind that language as well. But stating that a culture is superior to yours and that the culture should be adopted wholesale seems like a pretty big leap. I think we can appreciate other cultures and adopt some good points from them, but surely the Egyptian culture has some advantages over the UK culture? Maybe you are just trying to flatter the scholarship committee, but I am not sure that will work. And I am definitely biased in this respect, but I think American English deserves a place in language classes. Really, UK and US English are very very similar. Yes, even I agree that the English accent sounds a bit nicer, but the differences are really miniscule.
