In recent years, the value of cosmetics market increased across both the developed and developing worlds and is expected to continue expanding in the future. It's one of the fastest growing consumer markets, driven in particular by the cosmetics and skin care segments.

My master's degree course will allow me generate the necessary skills to take part in the cosmetic industry as a cosmetic formulator and developer. As soon as I return home, I intend to use the knowledge I will acquire from my post graduate studies in the UK by doing internships to create professional networks and gain more experience. Then I will use my new qualifications to enter the work force by seeking a job as a cosmetic researcher, developer, product manufacturer, and any other related job.

My long -term goal is to develop my own formulations and create my own cosmetic brand. Besides, natural beauty continues to transform the global beauty industry and the demand for natural and organic cosmetics is booming. Consumers are increasingly aware of the ingredients they put on their skin, and Tunisia is witnessing a significant growth of the natural cosmetics sector and its role in socio-economic development. Over 1,000 hectares are dedicated to the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants. There are 187 non-toxic aromatic and medicinal plant species, of which 80 are grown intensively. The country is currently the world's leading exporter of neroli and the second largest exporter of rosemary oil. Exports of prickly pear seed oil also recorded a clear upward trend during 2020, despite the global economic crisis.

Thanks to that, I intend to use my country's natural resources to create and produce natural cosmetic goods. This will present a challenge for me as it will be the first time I will be stepping out of formal employment into running my own business.

I am also hoping to grow my business and secure national and international partners in order to promote my brand and ensure the spread of my products all over the world. For that I need to always make new proposals in terms of products and services. And with the outstanding education that I will gain and the work experience and marketing strategies I will learn after studies and the help of the team that I will create I believe that I can make my brand competitive in the market. I quite look forward to this challenge.

Moreover, in 2019, the UK has signed a trade and political continuity agreement with Tunisia as part of its post-Brexit business and trade relations that ensured British business and consumers to benefit from continued access to the Tunisian market, and that could enlarge our chances to establish professional relations with wholesale cosmetic suppliers both in Tunisia and abroad.

From the way that this post study plan comes across, it would appear that the applicant does not have any existing professional experience to back up the application. The professional experience is important for the post study plan as the applicant is expected to make innovative and positive contributions to the professional field on a local and national basis. Looking for an internship for additional training and networking is definitely a negative and shows a lack of professional preparedness on the part of the applicant.

Missing from this post study plan are the DFID connected programs with the cosmetics industry in the country. How does the DFID support the development and advancement of this area? How would your post study plans help with Chevening promotion through the DFID programs and similar activities? Since the main qualification is for the person to already be working within the industry of interest, rather than just entering, it would appear, just based on the post study plan, that the applicant is not qualified for a Chevening Scholarship consideration.

Thank you for the reply. Of course that i have professional experience but not in that field. What i meant by looking for an internship for additional training and networking was to add new contacts of people who specialize in cosmetics and to enlarge my experience too. And about the DFID i couldn't find anything related to the cosmetics industry.
