My proposed program will give me a more deep understanding regarding petrogenesis, characteristics, and identification of ore deposits. This research associated with my previous honours studies will provide me with three fundamental tools for ore deposits recognition: structural control, emplacement dynamics of ore deposits and geochemical exploration. The latter is especially of high importance in feasibility studies of ore deposits although it is still difficult to find well-trained professionals on this subject. Also, in practical terms, this research will lead me to visit mining sites where I can learn from logistics management, mineral legislation and mining occupational safety in Australia, which is quite well respected abroad, and that will certainly make me a more capable professional.

Furthermore, undertaking a master's degree by coursework will provide me with theoretical and practical knowledge of software with a focus on economic geology, which is still poorly developed in my country. I am sure that working back in the well-equipped laboratories at UWA will teach me new techniques for enriching my work. Finally, this project will be a milestone in my academic career because it brings together skills and opportunities that will upgrade my academic and professional careers as well as my personal experience.
